Rebecca Brook is the founder of Earthly Birth. She is a mum to two busy boys, Pregnancy Massage Specialist in Adelaide, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher, Baby Massage Instructor and Childbirth Educator. She has over ten years experience in the field of pregnancy and postnatal massage therapy, and dedicates her studies and business to tailoring for the needs of women.

Our Roots

Rebecca Brook is a Pregnancy & Postnatal Massage Specialist, Childbirth Educator, Infant Massage Instructor, Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant.
Earthly Birth as you see it today has grown from humble beginnings in a small room at Semaphore. With around ninety percent of the clients being women, Rebecca saw the need for a more intricate and supportive way to provide services to women through aromatherapy, pregnancy care and massage.

The business has grown in Adelaide over the last eleven years to now offer everything from Pregnancy Massage, Postnatal Massage, Aqua-Yoga-Mums water exercise class in the southern suburbs, Birth Workshops, Massage Education for Birth Partners, Baby Massage classes and now Retreats for mums and babies.

We also collaborate regularly with some of Adelaide’s experts in their field such as Dr Sarah Blunden/Dr Brooke Michel (Paediatric Sleep Clinic), Michelle Nangle (PhysioFemme), Donna Mansell (Mother Nurture) and many more

Our Facilities

Our Brighton clinic provides a relaxing, comforting space for women with all the special touches.
Our beautiful massage room looks out onto a peaceful, private atrium. As you relax on our deliciously comfortable massage table you will sink away into bliss. We use high quality pillows and supports, crisp linen and organic massage oils in every treatment to provide the best for our clients.

Being situated on Brighton Rd doesn’t mean car parking is an issue. Plenty of parking is available behind the clinic (enter off Brighton Rd or Strathmore Tce).

We offer treatments that ensure you get the most out of your tailor made massage, so that doesn’t always mean you are laying on your tummy. After twenty weeks of pregnancy we almost always support women in side lying positions. There are many reasons for this, but mainly this position supports the uterine ligaments, reduces tension through the lower back and allows the entire body to be fully supported and relaxed. You will feel better for it, trust us!

The journey so far…

After serving as a Police Officer for seven years I decided on a BIG career change…to follow my passion.

I began my career in 2005 studying a Certificate, then a Diploma in Remedial Massage and a Diploma in Aromatherapy. Over the last eight years I have continued to study a number of different pregnancy/postnatal/parenting related modalities and therapies under some of the worlds best practitioners including Suzanne Yates from the UK.

As an Aromatherapist I also have a strong interest in combining essential oils for pregnancy concerns, labour preparation, birthing and postnatal care. I am really passionate about helping mums find their way with essential oils, safely!

Currently Rebecca is studying a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) to enable her to further assist families with fertility support, pregnancy & postpartum care and general wellbeing with Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

My personal experiences

Throughout my three pregnancies I have experienced MANY conditions and ailments personally including severe Pelvic Girdle Pain with my first (almost in a wheelchair by birth!) a Pregnancy loss with our second child and more recently I suffered Hyperemesis Gravidarum with our third baby.  I also spent three weeks in hospital due to threatened Preterm Labour at 31weeks. Eight months after Ashton’s birth we realised, after lots of illness, I had a partially retained placenta. Needless to say I am glad to have completed my family!

All these things have driven me to research and find suitable remedies and treatments to assist women in getting through these challenges.
