The Manual tattoo method is a brilliant technique designed to empower and give you confidence.
The process is designed to leave you with a very natural brow enhancement, aiding in balancing the shape of your natural brows, contributing to the appearance of fuller brows, providing the appearance of additional brow hair and tinting grey brow hairs.
The Manual tattoo method is an innovative technique by tattooing thin hair strokes and adding shadows to create the most natural looking eye brows.
The procedure is applied using a handheld pen like tool with sterile disposable needle tip and pigments to create the desired shape, color and volume of eye brows.
• It won’t penetrate the skin as deep or last as long as machine tattooing,
• Depending on how your skin takes to the pigment it can last 12 to 18 months after several applications.
• It is far more natural looking than machine work and the strokes look like natural hair strokes.
• The manual method is least traumatic for the skin
• The hand held pen tool will not cause vibration
This process is more natural and imperfect like brows are naturally- not symmetrical or parallel but balanced to suit your face shape and expression of movement. Compensation is also made for people that raise their left or right eyebrow when they speak.
On your approval of this method you will be asked to make a commitment to the process which is completed over a series of two to three sessions in order to obtain the detail and assist in a semi-permanent effect. This will involve an initial consultation of the brow tattooing procedure, a second passing after one to two months’ time depending on how your skin takes to the process and a third and final follow up for detail.

HOW LONG WILL THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

The initial treatment requires 2 to 3 hours and your second and third treatment can be anywhere between 45mins to just over an hour as this is a touch up treatment not a re do of the initial treatment. Change of mind regarding new colour, shape and thickness will incur an additional fee.

The Procedure:

Clean and remove all make-up from eye brow.
Your tattoo artist then assesses, discusses,   designs and draws the shape recommended for your face shape for you to view.
A colour is then tested and selected closest to your natural brow colour, keep in mind as the ink oxidises it will darken before fading to your natural colour.
Topical Anaesthetic numbing cream is then applied for a little over half hour to your brows to alleviate any discomfort you may experience as everyone’s pain threshold varies.

IS IT A ONE OFF PROCEDURE?

The manual feather stroke method is completed over a series of two or three sessions in order to obtain the detail and assist in a semi-permanent effect.

Cosmetic tattooing is a layering process that often requires two or more procedures for the best possible result. Not all skin types need to be retouched however some skin types will only absorb a small amount of pigment in any one session and will require several treatments. If you are one of these skin types, persevere, you will love the results. A second treatment is complimentary within the first 4 to 8 weeks of initial treatment and a third treatment is charged at a lesser rate of the initial treatment within  4 to 6 months of initial treatment.

Beginning with an initial treatment assessing, discussing, designing and drawing the brow shape recommended for your face shape.
Second progression- Adjustment procedure is similar to the initial treatment where by the skin is cleaned, numbing cream applied; strokes are added to further enhance your brow look in both shape and colour.
Third follow up appointment is the same again finalising detail leaving you with semi-permanent brows that only need to be tinted if you have grey hairs and tweezed or waxed to maintain  the surrounding growth every once in a while.

HOW LONG WILL THE PROCEDURE LAST?

There are many external and internal contributing factors that may affect the longevity of this procedure. Depending on how many strokes, how the colour implanted takes to your skin, how many sessions you have, your skin type and cell renewal, products you use, medication and the  breakdown by the body ‘s natural responses. There is no guarantee in regards to how long the pigment stays in the skin, with proper maintenance you may expect to get 12 to 18 months of real definition before an annual top up maybe needed.

It becomes incredibly low maintenance as the need for filling in your brows becomes history.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECOVER?

Everybody heals in different stages; between 5 days to 10 days is the average time immediately after the treatment. The colour will be darker; the design bolder, there is some swelling and there may be slight bruising of the skin. Swelling usually disappears within a couple of days and complete healing occurs within 4 to 8 week.

IS BROW TATTOOING PAINFUL?

Anaesthetic cream is applied prior to the treatment and developed specially for cosmetic procedures to assist numbing the area.  It is not a painful procedure although it may cause some discomfort dependant on the individual’s pain tolerance. Bleeding and slight pain are natural with this procedure and the feeling is like gentle scratches passing over the skin creating a slight stinging sensation, remembering everyone’s pain threshold varies.

WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE?

You may be a little shocked when you first look in the mirror as fair light skinned people developed quite dark initially however rest assured the colour will fade in a few days.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?

A MANUAL HANDHELD PEN tool with a lock-pin device is used to hold needles in place.

NEEDLES are packed individually and are sterile and disposable. The needles are designed perfectly in order to achieve solid and smooth line work to create the desired shape and volume of eye brows.

DAZZLING COLOR BROW MICROPIGMENT CREAMS are manufactured to be used on the face. The pigments are a natural plant base, extracted from nature and produced exquisitely with nanotechnology containing micro fine particles that are easily absorbed by the skin to achieve less fading and a truer colour. Most pigments are inorganic and the pigments themselves are made using coloured powders suspended in distilled water, alcohol and glycerine. I purchase my pigments from a reputable company who have very high quality control standards for cosmetic tattooing.

HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY BROWS AFTER TREATMENT?

Diligently applying Vaseline morning, evening and before shower time  for the first 3 days followed by a healing gel for one week day and night to keep the brow moist throughout the day.  It is important to avoid getting your eye brows wet for one week after your brow tattoo treatment; this is highly recommended to help retain strokes. You will also be given an aftercare instructions sheet that will be explained to you directly after your treatment to assist maintaining your brows.

CAN PERMANENT MAKE UP BE REMOVED?

Removal of tattoos is a lengthy and costly procedure. Several treatments may be required plus the period of recovery and pain between treatments make it important to choose you’re professional wisely.  Invest time and do your research to find a properly trained professional.

EYE BROW AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS    

Congratulations on your newly tattooed brows, the aftercare you need to follow is just as important as the preparation steps you took to get here. You have completed your first brow procedure;   followed by a second treatment to be booked within 2 months of the initial application procedure to prevent additional fees. Following these simple instructions will allow you to enjoy your brows for years to come

Immediately after your procedures, the tattooed area will look much darker and bolder as the pigment oxidises upon application and leaves you with a dramatic look, the design will look very bold, and you may experience some dryness, flakiness and if you have been bleeding some scabbing.

After the first week the area will settle and fade and within 2 to 3 weeks you will be left with a very natural hair stroke similar to that of your natural brow hairs and colour.

It is important to avoid getting your eye brows wet for one week after brow tattoo treatment.
Avoid facial treatments peels, exfoliation, masks and active ingredients such as AHAs (alpha hydroxy acid), Antioxidant and Retinol for the first 14 days.
Avoid vigorous workouts hot saunas, spas; solarium and swimming for the first 1 or 2 months were possible. Our individual nature will determine how the pigment will penetrate for each of us. Most first applications will tend to have an 80 to 85 percent natural fade out of colour and strokes so any type of workout where you are over excreting and perspiring will only push the colour out further. It is recommended to allow a minimum of 5 days to 1 week for your brows to settle before hitting your workout session.
Begin with only a smear of Vaseline or Slic 15 lotion, this is to be worn morning, evening and before shower time  for the first 3 days for the first 3 to 4 days, keeping the brows moist is the key, followed by a healing gel for 1 week, day and night. Do not use already opened products you may have at home as it may be contaminated.
When itching and scabs appear please avoid picking or scratching the area as this will cause the loss of brow work.  Keeping the brows moist is the key to assist minimise the scabbing and loosing tattoo work before it bonds.
To keep the brows moist use a vitamin E capsule pop it and squeeze it onto the brow, allow the oil to fall down through the hair and onto the brows; this will assist keeping the brow moist.

SPF sunblock must be worn everyday throughout all seasons as sun exposure will affect the pigment causing it to lighten, fade or change the colour of the hair stroke.
Finally enjoy your brows and be patient

The maintenance from here on in will be simple.

General grooming will be required; Your usual shaping, tweezing, threading or waxing and tinting grey brow hair are all part of general  brow grooming and maintenance.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO I USE?

Over the years I have sourced various products that work best for each job I commit to.
I need products that have good staying power are water resistant and waterproof, consistent in pigment, provide excellent coverage and wear well on the skin.
My kit consists of brands such as RCMA, Kryolan, MAC, Christian Dior, various mineral make ups, Max Factor, Shu Uemura and many more.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK IN MY BEAUTY TREATMENTS EG SPRAY TAN, FACIALS, HAIR COLOR, WAXING AND TWEEZING IN PREPARATION FOR AN EVENT?

All treatments need to be trialed and tested. Attempting something new for the first time generally should be done six months before your event day so there is sufficient time for adverse skin reactions to heal. Be aware of what is on the market and do your research, particularly with hair colors, as you may want to know there is plenty of time to rectify. However it is always advisable to consult a trained beauty therapist for professional treatment.
HOW WILL YOU CATER FOR LARGE GROUPS AND WILL YOU BE THE PERSON DOING THE JOB?

I will normally take on all make up work myself with the aid of an assistant. I work with a great team of qualified make- up artists. They are people that I know and trust and have worked with on many occasions.
For Bridal-The person doing your trial is normally the person that will be looking after you on your wedding day unless there are circumstances beyond our control eg sickness or accidents. However there will be someone allocated that will have been briefed with your exact details and style requirements.

WHAT LOOK IS IN FASHION AT THE MOMENT?

Every person is unique and individual; opting for a fashion trend in make- up and hair works well for the moment. My preference is to enhance what you naturally process and work on getting to know you to create the perfect look for you.
