Emaya Salon was established in 2007 by Monica Hanicar, a hairdresser with 12 years experience in the industry and a passion for education and keeping up with the latest trends. Monica started her business as a boutique home based salon (originally trading as Monified Hair Design) where her vision was to create a salon that offered a personalised, one on one experience for the clients.

In 2015, Emaya Salon moved to their Ferntree Gully location offering more space to accommodate their growing clientele. The level of service remains the same, in that every person who comes through our door gets a tailor made experience and your stylist will be with you from beginning to end of your appointment.

We offer a tranquil relaxed vibe in our salon where you don’t feel like you’re being rushed in and out.

We consistently attend educational courses to keep up to date with the latest trends as well as enter hair competitions every year.

We have developed our own unique balayage and foiling techniques to ensure every client leaves with a personalised ‘couture’ hair colour.

We also specialise in formal/ bridal hair and makeup so come in and experience our ‘VIP room’ for your next function.
