Tanning Tips

Before My Tan…

Exfoliation…pay extra close attention to the areas of rough skin around your knees, ankles and elbows.

Go Natural…try to avoid any application of moisturizer, deodourant or perfumes and we recommend you brave your appointment without makeup!

Wardrobe…suitable tanning attire is suggested. We advise bikinis or g-strings for women and shorts or swimmers for men.

After My Tan…

Keep Dry…your tan must be allowed to dry completely, so don’t wet your skin for at least 6-8 hours after your spray. Try not to shower until the following morning and avoid any excessive perspiration between your spray and your first shower.

Part of the process…don’t be concerned if you see some of the bronzer wash off in the shower. Your skin will actually keep tanning and this is simply a phase in the sunless tanning process.

The Key…moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Application of an intense moisturizer twice a day will hold back your skin’s need to exfoliate leaving you with a better, longer lasting colour.

Keep it up…to maintain your tan, avoid long swimming sessions, hot spas, and baths. Also, steer clear from products specifically designed to exfoliate your skin.

IMPORTANT

If you have sensitive skin be the little wiser and have a small test spray before the tan is applied over your entire body.

Wear loose DARK clothing to your appointment. Minor rub  off may occur and although the tan will easily wash out from most fabrics, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

My tan does NOT provide protection against the sun and it does NOT contain any sunscreens. When in the sun do the right thing and Slip, Slop, Slap!
