“It’s a day later and I’m in more pain than when I started. The massage was quite rough, but I thought that was because I wasn’t used to massages. The masseuse did listen when I asked her to use less pressure, but she went in without warming me up properly, and as a result the muscles in my back have started to actively hurt. This isn’t normal soreness. It was bad enough to distract me from work, and make me flinch when a coworker put her hand on my shoulder. It feels like a deep bruise, across multiple parts of my back.
The site itself didn’t have the best soundproofing, and my masseuse walked out on the massage four times to talk to clients in the lobby. She wasn’t gone long, only about a minute at a time, but it took away from the experience. She offered me extra time, but we still finished when we were supposed to. I didn’t even fill out a new-client form (which included information about health and physical ailments) until after the massage was done. I think all of the receipts use the same provider number, too, which is a red flag.
I wouldn’t recommend this place.”
