Escape Beauty Lounge was established in October 2002. Our small salon was converted from a Russian Restaurant and housed 4 rooms, 2 nail desks and 2 Therapists. By 2008, and with a team of 9 staff members, we had outgrown our salon and decided to expand.

In 2009 we began Stage 1 of major renovations. In April 2010 we commenced Stage 2 of renovations and relocated our entire business to another location so the entire salon could be gutted. In October 2010 Escape Beauty Lounge was transformed and a new era began…

Escape combines beauty and glamour with a lot of bling in a super-glam and super-stunning architecturally designed Beauty Salon. Our striking interior design includes a stunning French Provincial entry, a lavish boutique designed makeup studio, a secluded ‘quiet’ area for facial treatments and the look and feel of an exclusive celebrity salon.

Our new urban salon inspires freshness and elegance with its high ceilings, complimented with a modern edge with surroundings fit for the most demanding client!

We have created an unparallel level of luxury not previously available in Hobart. We have chosen warm creams, browns and bronzes to create harmony and warmth. Crystal chandeliers are hung throughout the entire salon highlighting the level of glamour and sophistication. Designer wallpaper from London decorates walls, and ghost chairs, and furnishings from Italy decorate the interior. Soft cream and bronzes splash the walls, while the marble cream floor embraces the mood and décor of the salon.

Our Salon’s philosophy is to provide every single client with the “Wow” factor. Our client’s treatment will always be performed to the same high standard each and every time whether they are our first client of the day or our last. We all have one thing in common, from junior staff to management and that is to make an impression, a lasting impression to our clients, every single one of them, every single time. We are a business that thrives to stand out from the crowd.

Apart from our stunning surroundings that sets Escape apart from other salons, we continuously aim to raise the bar. We continue to follow and introduce current trends in our industry, whether it’s new treatments, equipment or the latest products on the market. We are the only salon in Hobart that offers Bridal Beauty Registries and Bridal Shower Facilities, as well as being Hobart’s one and ONLY Spa-licious Tween and Teen Spa. Escape also houses the First world multi platform LED and Non Surgical Facelift machine in Hobart, that delivers up to ten times the power of regular LEDs.

Our Staff also set us apart. They are highly motivated, excited, well-educated, passionate and professional women who are committed to raising the bar of the Beauty Industry.

Effie has been in the Beauty Industry for 24 years.  Effie’s achievements and awards include Tasmanian Beauty Therapy Student of the Year in 1993, as well a finalist in the Hobart City Council Customer Service Awards, and more recently, a nomination in the Telstra Women’s Business Awards.

Opening Escape Beauty Lounge fulfilled a lifelong dream for Effie, and this is a credit to her dedication, knowledge and experience. In 2011, Effie changed roles in the Business, and is now Escape Beauty Lounge’s Salon Co-ordinator, concentrating on “Front of House” as well as Marketing and Training.

Melpo returns to Escape in November 2013 after a year away, and we are extremely happy to welcome her back.  Melpo is a Senior Beauty Therapist who specialises in Gel Nails, Shellac and Advanced Facial Treatments such as Microdermabrasion, Sonophoresis and LED. If you are looking for a therapist who loves a chat and is an absolute expert in nails, then Melpo is the person for you.  Her outgoing personality and infectious laugh makes her very popular amongst both her clients and co workers.

Paige is a very talented nail technician who also specialises in nail art.  Paige owned her own business, but is now offering her services at Escape Beauty Lounge.

Kelly completed her Diploma in Beauty Therapy in 2006 in Victoria.
Kelly has 10 years experience in the Beauty industry including Salon and Spa manager, and Business Owner.  Kelly has a passion for Beauty and excels in further training & knowledge.  Kelly looks forward to learning IPL & LED and extending her skills in specialized areas.  We welcome Kelly to the team in 2016 and look forward to introducing her to all our clients.

Rhianna

Cert III in Beauty Therapy/Nail Technician

We are excited to announce that Rhianna is now the latest member of our wonderful team. Rhianna’s talents include immaculate gel and shellac nails, and nail art creations. Prior to starting at Escape, Rhianna ran her own business and has 4 years industry experience.  Both new and old clients are very welcome!

Grace

Diploma in Beauty Therapy/Lash Technician

Grace returns to Escape in 2016 and welcomes all her clients to Escape.  Grace is a Senior Beauty Therapist who specialises in Advanced Skin Treatments such as LED, Sonophoresis, Skin Peels, Microdermabrasion and Non Surgical Facelift.  Grace also is a master of Lash Extensions, and an experienced Ultraceuticals Skin specialist.  For all your skins needs, Grace is the girl to see.
