Oralie Maylin is an established makeup artist with over 12 years’ experience. Her expertise includes bridal makeup, hair styling, lash extensions and eyebrow styling. Her passion is to create individual looks for real women: making them feel amazing and giving them a brand new confidence.

For the past decade, Oralie has worked at Laura Mercier (Australia and UK) and traveled internationally, learning from the world’s best makeup artists and stylists. Working in London, New York, Milan and Zurich. She spent many years working at London Fashion Week and on various television programs.

Lash Extentions

Eyelash extensions add beautiful definition to your overall look for your wedding day or any special event. Oralie highly recommends them to any bride.  It also means you don’t have to worry about your mascara smudging or running down your face when you get a little teary eyed!

THE TECHNIQUE

Using silk and mink lashes that are individually applied to your own eyelashes, this delicate and precise technique takes just over an hour and the finished look is a beautiful and natural set of lashes any woman could ever wish for!

These stunning lashes last up to 6 weeks, meaning that you will still have fabulous lashes on your honeymoon! You can swim with them, and even wearing the minimal makeup you will still feel a million dollars.

Oralie has been doing eyelash extensions for over 5 years now, using many different lengths and sizes of thickness means she can apply the perfect set suited to what you feel most comfortable with, and of course what will compliment your eyes the most.

As lash extensions are extremely addictive, and you may wish to carry on with your lashes, it is recommended to have them in-filled every 3 to 4 weeks. Oralie provides an infill service at her home.

TRIAL

The trial time is one of the most important parts of the process towards creating your look and is carried out in the own comfort of your home. It is the time that you and I can go through everything, so that on your wedding day you can sit back, relax and know that everything will be perfect!

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR TRIAL

I will come to your home and talk to you about what you want. I will discover what type of Bride you are, what the style, texture and colour of the wedding gown is.

We will talk about your skin, and I will recommend what I think is best for you.

You can ask me any questions you have regarding your skin/features and I will answer them. Using a face chart throughout the makeup trail, I will write down  exactly what we have talked about and what colours and products we have used on your skin that is unique to your overall look. I use only the highest quality products on the market, which I consider to be: Laura Mercier, Mac, Bobbi Brown, NARS, Illamasqua

WHAT TO BRING TO TRIAL

Please bring with you any inspirational pictures you may have of makeup and hair.

I really listen to what my client wants, and finding out what you like and dislike help me to design a unique look for you. A swatch of your dress colour, and material would be beneficial so I can see the true colour.

Wear clothing that is similar colouring to your actual bridal gown, this will help you to visualize the look that will be created on your wedding day.

Eyebrow Styling

Eyebrows are one of the most important parts of your face, and in most cases get neglected the most!

When creating a look for anyone I make sure the brows are properly shaped and styled for your face, this can knock years off someone and instantly give you an eye lift. Eye brows are the frame to your face, and regardless of if you are someone who wears the smallest amount of makeup, it is important to keep them maintained and styled.

My technique to shaping brows is a combination of threading and plucking, to create the most precise and perfect brow.

The majority of my work is through the thread, however I may pluck when styling certain brows to create the perfect shape. I will teach you how to style your brows for the shape of your face, and show you what products are best for you and your brows.

What is Threading?

Threading is an ancient Indian technique, using a cotton thread twisted into a double strand, this strand is used to pick up the hairs and remove them leaving a clean, precise hairline. It is a lot more gentle on the skin than using wax as it does not thin the layers of skin, and because no harmful products are used it is great for skin that is sensitive to product.

As the hair is removed from the follicle, depending on your natural brow hair it can last up to 3-4 weeks, although it is recommended to come back every 2 weeks to maintain the shape of your brow.

Hair Styling

Oralie is available for bridal hair styling. A trial is recommended and can take place during your makeup trial or a different time if preferred. Designing a hair style that is suited to your hair type, face shape and wedding gown is Oralie’s first commitment, she will try various styles during the trial so you are aware of what you feel suits you the best for your big day.
