Fine Lines History

Fine Lines started as a small nail salon located in Springwood in September 1990, with only 2 Nail Technicians.

The first couple years saw the addition of a third Nail Technician and a retail line of lingerie.

Such was the popularity of the salon, it was clear that before long more Nail Technicians and larger premises were required.

In November 1995 the salon moved a few doors up and was filled with 5 nail desks, a beauty room and the lingerie was replaced with Sunless Tanning.

The staff, ever expanding their knowledge and skills, widened the range of services to include some beauty treatments.

This also saw the beginning of our talented staff entering the State, National and International Fingernail Competitions and bringing home the top awards.

Over the next few years, a clean, friendly and vibrant atmosphere saw the continued success of the salon and requests for more services to be available in the one place saw a Beauty Therapist welcomed to the team.

In January 2006, the salon found a new home, only a couple of streets away from where it all began.

These new premises provided plenty of room for a large reception area, 8 nail desks and 2 spa pedicare chairs with television/DVD’s to watch while enjoying hand and foot treatments.

2 beauty rooms with shower facilities adjoining one of the rooms to accommodate body treatments, a spray tanning room and a kitchenette providing cappuccinos and other hot or cold beverages were included in this new home which also offered its own car park for client convenience.

Beauty treatments were taken to new heights by introducing more and specialized services including Anti-aging Techniques, Microdermabrasion and Body Treatments, in a comfortable and hygienic environment and the Spray Tanning experience was made even more convenient.

Pedicares and Gel Toe Nails became a larger focus with the addition of the spa pedi chairs and Fingernail Enhancements were maintained as high quality services.

On the competition stage, the salon’s Nail Technicians continued to consistently place in the top 10 Australia wide.

Fine Lines is proud to have been nominated numerous times, by our supportive clients, in the regional Business Achiever Awards.

Reaching the Finalist Stage in the Beauty Services category has been a sheer delight each time.

There are 6 student nail desks, an educator desk, television/DVD, reception area and a wide range of training resources.

The school offers Advanced Training Courses for qualified Nail Technicians to help improve their knowledge and skills with up-to-date equipment, products, methods and techniques.

Our Education team has a wealth of experience to impart and can show those who wish to achieve great results, how to expand their horizons and increase productivity within their own salon.
