Seitai Therapy
Literally translated, the Japanese word Seitai means ‘to bring the body in to order’. In good health the body can be considered as existing in a “Seitai” state whereby the body is functioning at its optimum level. In a healthy body, internal organs, muscles, ligaments and the skeletal system are balanced and in harmony. Seitai therapy works by stimulating the body by means of acupressure points . It works on the principle of any pain that manifests in the body, either at these pressure points, or along the bodies energetic meridian system, is representative of an underlying disharmony within the body. Such disharmonies are often a result of organ weakness, disease or the result of trauma. Whatever the reason the body will outwardly display symptoms within the musculo-skeletal system.
Seitai works by directly stimulating acupressure points over the whole surface of the body in a set sequence. These points are selected because of their ability to quickly provide direct stimulation to the internal organs and systems of the body. Thus strengthening them and restoring their functions so that they may heal disharmonies themselves. Patients often feel invigorated, warm and clear-headed as the body begins to re-address its imbalances.
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage addresses the cause and symptoms of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. A variety of specialised techniques (e.g. joint mobilisation, myofascial release, trigger point, muscle energy technique, positional release, cross tendon technique, cupping) are used to locate and repair damaged muscles, tendons and joints.
Remedial massage enhances your own body’s repair mechanisms to speed up the recovery process. Our therapist also provide you with stretching and strengthening advice to maximise the outcome of the treatment. The following conditions, and many others, benefit from remedial massage:-
Bulging disk
Osteoarthritis
Frozen shoulder

Testimonials
“I went to see Minoru for remedial massage therapy that I thought could be good for treating a shoulder injury. While day to day I was never in excruciating pain, the injury limited movement of my right shoulder and caused some niggling pain. After two treatments, Minoru’s massage seemed to work really well and I now have greatly improved movement in my right shoulder.
Minoru listens well and is great at identifying knotted areas and working them out. He is also friendly, very professional and punctual. This is why I have recommended him to my friends and why I’d recommend him to others.”
– Andrew from Surrey Hills
“A friend recommended the I have remedial massage for my mid/low back pain. I kinda was skeptical. Glad I went though. I have to say that Minoru at Flexibody was very professional and had solved my problems after 3 or 4 sessions. I no longer need to use a wheat packs or do awkward stretches in the morning. Honestly, it was pretty amazing!”
– Michael from Nunawading
“I use a computer for a solid 8-9 hours a day and generally end up with seriously tight shoulders by the time Friday comes round. I’ve found that having a massage mid-week has helped and the stretches Minoru has given me to do “for homework” are making a difference to how relaxed I feel at the end of the day. I’ve had 5 or 6 treatments now and Minoru has been right on time every time, which I really appreciate.”
– Scott form Hawthorn
“Minoru is a really professional therapeutic masseuse, whom I engage to help with my back. He is thoughtful about his assessment and treatment, and I always feel better after the massage.”
– Peter from Armadale
