“I don’t do this often but here’s a shout out to AWESOME customer service.
Two weeks ago I walked into Flight Centre at Warringah Mall in an attempt to book a family holiday for my birthday. It’s been a busy year and despite being a birthday I’m keen to celebrate, organising it just hasn’t been a priority this year. After three late nights scanning websites I declared defeat – this particular birthday falls in the middle of school holidays and it was all getting too hard and too exy.
I walked into Flight Centre and was greeted by a divine young girl with brilliant people skills. After downloading about my late nights and a few ideas I had for the holiday, she asked me if I had anything to do at the mall for 20 mins and said she’d have me a holiday when I got back.
Twenty mins later I walked back in and she had a solution. I took it home, we emailed back and forth to make a few changes and in 24 hours everything was booked. So simple and so enjoyable.
Today Mark picked up our documents from the store and I came home to find this on the table…
To the young consultant Taylor Cameron – thank you! For helping me celebrate my birthday before it’s even begun and for the surprise. I love surprises!!! For an industry that could easily be replaced by online options, I know where I’ll go to book our next holiday.”

“Seems to always be a long line here which is a big turn off to start with; after a few weeks of walking away because of the long wait, I finally go to speak with a consultant, who was quick to get an itinerary set up for us. Unfortunately, that was the last we heard from him – we tried calling and emailing to make a single flight change to our itinerary and didn’t hear back once. After a month of trying to chase him we eventually went to another store where we received instant service and advice and were happy to book via them instead. Fortunately for this company, it was another Flight Centre outlet but I won’t be going back to the Warringah mall store anytime soon.”
