Moxibustion is an externally applied treatment using a herb called Moxa, commonly known as ‘Mugwort’. Moxa is compressed and rolled into a cigar-shaped herbal stick, then lit and held over acupuncture points. The radiant heat produced has the effect of stimulating the point. It improves the body’s function and promotes the natural self-healing process
