Founded in 2012, George & King was born out of sheer amazement at how difficult it is to buy a suit off-the-rack that actually fits, is genuinely well-made, and doesn’t cost a fortune.

We believe every man should experience clothing that’s perfectly fitted to their body and tastes.

Everything came back perfect, working in fashion I was quite particular that it went with my dress. “Had a suit and a few shirts made by this team. Exceptionally happy with the quality, fit and general experience. The clobber was ready for me to try on a week ahead of time, and the final adjustments took just a few days to complete – end result: me, looking crisper and sharper than ever, all for an exceptionally reasonable price. “Given my wedding as a perfect excuse, I chose to try MTM suiting for the first time. I was very impressed by G&K, after doing extensive online research.
Total time was about 6 or 7 weeks, including some adjustments after the second fitting. I visited the Sydney showroom on George St, and was treated really well by all the staff I dealt with. From being offered a drink, to having someone assist me through picking fabric and lining options, it was an excellent experience. When I went in for the second fitting, the suit was mostly fine, and only needed a few minor alterations. The tailor also kindly stitched silk in to the saddle of the pants, something I recommend everyone consider when getting a new suit, as it extends the life of the pants significantly. G&K did this at no extra cost. ”

“At this stage I am rating G&K solely on their customer service. The reason for this is because at this stage it is all I can comment on, despite placing multiple orders. My orders were place on Feb 17/18. I’m entering my 6th week and have nothing to show for my spend, but worst of all not a single courtesy email, text or phone call. This despite their website clearly stating suits are usually ready between 2-4 weeks. What is inexcusable is the time it’s taking for a few ties and custom shirts to be sent. The order was completed around the same time. I have nothing to show for my money. Keep in mind that since then I have received custom made shirts from Sweden and the UK. One of those suppliers also provided regular emailed updates of the progress of my shirts, including pictures! Given this experience, I would say it is very unlikely I would shop at George & King again. They simply can’t behave this way while marketing themselves as a premium shopping experience. I will add that I was also very unimpressed with the in-store service I received during my initial consultation and fitting. This was at the Sydney store, by the way. The entire experience has left me very apprehensive about how my purchases will turn out. I simply can’t recommend them. Terrible.
