Process

When your hair arrives you come into the salon and our qualified stylist with over 20 years experience will advise you on various styles and cut your hair to blend perfectly with your system.

This experience is like a makeover and can take 10 to 20 years off your age.

Generally clients return to the salon either monthly or every six weeks for a haircut and to tighten the attachment of the hair system.

History

1n 1985, after working in Melbourne for 6 years as a hairdresser, I lost seventy five percent of my hair.

After visiting a number of doctors, I was finally referred to a dermatologist who had studied hair loss in the U.S. and was able to ascertain my hair loss was due to a medication I was taking.

The hair loss industry was in its infancy in Australia, and my experience led me to seek a career in hair loss as no one seemed to understand the devastating emotional toll when you lose your hair.

I was frustrated by the fact that there were no proven treatments and little knowledge as to the causes of hair loss.

For many years there was nothing that could be done to treat hair loss which encouraged all types of “weird and wonderful” hair loss cures and remedies.

The following year I moved to Cairns to join a major hair loss clinic to help people dealing with the same issues I had endured, and over the next 25 years I worked for three major Australian companies.

While gaining experience and knowledge within the industry, I was still frustrated by the lack of individually designed programs and follow up procedures.

In 2007 we began to research the science of hair restoration through clinical practice, and in 2010 we launched Hair Loss Centre Queensland (HLCQ). Over the last 25 years, there have been many scientific breakthroughs in the treatment of hair loss.

Our mission is to advance the art and science of hair restoration through clinical practice and research.

We aim to provide our clients with the most natural results achieved in the shortest possible time and to continue to seek out the best methods and technology to achieve our aims.
