EYELASH

EXTENSIONS:

Eyelash Extensions is a practice that enhances the length, thickness and fullness to natural eyelashes.

CLASSIC EYELASH EXTENSIONS:

This method involves one silk lash extension per eyelash, this creates the look of mascara without the need for mascara.  They last up to 4 weeks.

RUSSIAN VOLUME EXTENSIONS:

This method is the more advanced technique using very fine individual silk lashes, applying multiple silk lashes per natural eyelash.  Both techniques can be altered to clients desired look, with different lengths, curls and thicknesses available.

LED LIGHT PHOTOTHERAPY

Led light therapy incorporates a method of light emitting diode (LED) photo rejuvenation using a combination of wavelengths and thus creating an environment of cellular stimulation.

LED light therapy is completely pain free, producing amazing results. It is an un-intrusive soothing and rejuvenating treatment. LED will treat acne, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, acne scarring and rosacea. This treatment will help minimize acne while also soothing the skin and reducing redness and inflammation. PEELS

ALPHA HYDROXY ACID PEELS:

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA’s) are naturally occurring carboxylic acids such as glygolic acid, a natural constituent of sugar cane juice and lactic acid, found in sour milk and tomato juice.  This is the mildest of the peel formulas and produces light peels for treatment of fine wrinkles, areas of dryness, uneven pigmentation and acne.

BETA HYDROXY ACID PEELS:

Beta Hydroxy acid Peels are used if a deeper penetration is required.  Studies have shown that BHA peels control sebum excretion, acne as well as remove dead skin cells to a certain extent. Salicylic acid a Beta Hydroxy Acid.

After a chemical peel, your skin will be temporarily more sensitive to the sun, so wear sunscreen every day.

NEEDLING:

SO WHAT IS SKIN NEEDLING?

Skin needling goes by various names in the skin and medical community, including Dermarolling, Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI), Collagen Induction Therapy, Dry Tattooing and Intradermabrasion. Pioneered by Dr. Andre Camirand in the late 1990s as an evolutionary step from scar Subcision®, it simply involves the use of manually applied skin rollers that have around 200 fine surgical steel needles attached to the roller mechanism. It’s applied directly to the skin in a crisscross motion. The objective is to stimulate or puncture the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production, smooth skin and promote scar or stretch mark reduction through the skins natural wound healing process. For the medical grade level application of skin needling, the target of the needles and penetration is the upper dermis called the intermediate reticular dermis.

DIFFERENT NEEDLES, DIFFERENT OUTCOMES

A roller with wide-gauge, short needles that are under 0.25 mm in length is generally non-invasive and cannot cause trauma to the skin, but rather it stimulates and provides gentle exfoliation while increasing superficial circulation. This action, much like manual massage and other electrical modalities, may enhance the penetration and absorption of active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin. SPRAY TANS

Spray tans are the safest way to stay brown, we can do a spray tan on your skin after your IPL treatment.  No need to be constantly worried about whether your skin is too tanned prior to your treatment.  Just some clever planning – allow a week for your tan to be gone prior to your treatment.

Once the treatment is completed you can start again.

You can choose from an all over tan, no tan lines or use a G-string, either way you are going to fantastic.

It is very important to exfoliate prior to your treatment and not wear any moisturizer.  We want this tan to stay as long as possible.  Remember to ask your therapists for the best after care solutions.

TOE NAIL

FUNGUS REMOVAL:

The fungal infection in your toe nail is caused by a special type of fungus known as a dermatophyte.  These sorts of fungi are generally confined to the dead, horny outer layers of the skin and gradually progress to involve the nail plate.  Onychomycosis is particularly common in toenails of older men but can affect the nails of individuals of any age and sex.  The treatment of this condition is complicated by the fact these fungi live in dead tissue, and getting medications to these sites is problematic.

Since most of these infections are relatively superficial, it would seem that topical treatments ought to work well.  This is not the case because the nail unit is relatively impenetrable.  In addition, it is common for the infections to be entirely asymptomatic (not producing symptoms) which does not diminish a person’s distress with the unpleasant appearance of the nail.

Laser technology can assist with the problem.  Lasers produce coherent light energy of a sufficient strength and of a specific wavelength, which when projected into tissue is differentially absorbed by the target material, producing heat and hence destroying tissue.  Available at our Toowong centre.
