I’ve been a hair extensions addict since I was a teenager. I’ve always loved the way long hair instantly makes me feel sexy and glamorous. But – as anyone who uses them regularly knows – it can be difficult to find affordable, high quality clip-in hair extensions.

Synthetic extensions are difficult to care for and may melt if they’re straightened or curled. And while I paid more than $300 for my first set of human hair extensions, they were thin and looked really fake. I now know this was because these extensions only contained 80 grams of hair.

Determined to find good quality hair extensions that looked natural and could be coloured and styled just like my own hair, I discovered there wasn’t much in the Australian market. So created Hairvenly Extensions in 2010!

What is remy human hair

I have heard many stories similar to my initial experience with hair extensions. It generally goes something like… “I decided to try clip in hair extensions and ordered some online. They were very nice for the first two weeks but after several washings they started to get very dry and tangled. After a month or two they were a knotted mess”. The main reason this happens is due to the quality of hair used to make the clip in hair extensions. There are two types of hair used; remy and non-remy.

What is remy human hair?
Remy Human Hair is the highest quality of real human hair that is used in making quality hair extensions and hairpieces. It is also called cut hair, virgin hair and cuticle hair.
