Services
Dry Needling – $75.00 1 hour
Dry Needling targets the trigger points of the problem muscle, this is known as Myofascial Trigger Point and is often described as a muscle ‘knot’ which contributes to muscle pain and dysfunction. This treatment is performed with a fine filament needle which inserts into the skin directly in the muscle. The Therapist then stimulates the muscle, looking for a local twitch response – this is what the therapist is looking for. This means this is jump starting the muscle and nerve supply which increases blood flow to the area which helps relax the muscle. Dry Needling helps desensitise the trigger points.
Type of Treatment used for Dry Needling: Neck Pain, Back & Shoulder Pain, Arm Pain (Tennis Elbow, Carpel Tunnel, Golfers Elbow), Headaches to include; migraines and tension type headaches, Jaw Pain, Buttock Pain, and Leg Pain (Sciatica, Hamstring Strains, Calf tightness / Spasms.
Cupping (Silicone / Vacuum) – $75.00 1 hour
Cupping is an ancient Chinese method of causing local congestion. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin with by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. When the cup is left on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localised healing takes place. Cupping has also been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, create space between muscle and bone, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, clear stretch marks and improve varicose veins.
