Massage – Janet McAllan

Janet has been practicing massage for over 25 years. Janet’s skills range from Remedial and Pregnancy Massage to Bowen Therapy and Chinese Cupping. Janet also combines within her treatments elements from Shiatsu, Aromatherapy and Reiki Healing enabling her to offer holistic treatments suitable for everyone from the elite athlete to the “just for relaxation” client.

Bowen Technique

The Bowen Technique is a relatively new and effective form of therapy that encourages your body to heal itself. It can be described as a “vibrational energy therapy” whereby muscles, tendons and nerve structures are gently manipulated in a specific sequence around the body
.
As the Bowen Technique aims to reset the body’s own healing mechanisms, it can be used to treat a wide range of conditions. It has applications in sports and general injuries, lymphatic and digestive problems, respiratory, skin and reproductive organ disorders. It is also deeply relaxing and highly recommended for stress management.

As the body needs time to adjust to the moves, the Bowen Technique works best with three treatments spaced one week apart.
