Not all fitness centres are created equal!

At Health Mates, we pride ourselves on providing a non-intimidating, first-class facility where all of our members and guests feel comfortable, supported and energised. We aim to educate, encourage and motivate you to reach your health and wellness goals.

Health Mates opened in December 1996 and since then has grown to over 3,300 members. We have won many awards over the past years, representing excellence in business management, customer service and community participation.

Health Mates is a business member of Fitness Australia and chooses to abide by the Fitness Industry Code of Practice. This code has been established to set the standards of service, safety and fair trading within the fitness industry. Adhering to this code also ensure that we employ registered fitness professionals that have successfully attained recognised qualifications and are registered with Fitness Australia. Registration with Fitness Australia is recognised as a license to practice as a fitness professional and is the benchmark for fitness industry standards across Australia and internationally.

“I’ve been meaning to write this for a few weeks now. Really upset as to how I was spoken to by one of your managers Tracy. I had a debit fail due to fraud on my debit card for which I apologised. I was told I had a $10 fee which I questioned. I was bluntly told it was part of the contract. I said I understand but what happened was unavoidable, does the fee apply in this case. She simply told me to refer to the contract I signed and surely I didn’t sign something before reading it. A yes it does apply with a quick explanation would have been sufficient. I feel like I was spoken to like a child. I almost resigned my membership after this.”
