 Massage

Massage can relive stress and relax the body

Our Hong Kong style massage can include the walking on the back technique. This is more effective deep tissue massage then can be achieved by hand pressure alone

What Is Acupressure Massage?

As the name implies, the difference between acupuncture and acupressure is that instead of inserting needles, an acupressure massage therapist applies pressure to the meridians of Qi. He may do this in one or more of several ways, depending on his assessment of your needs:

  • Targeted pressure is applied using a finger or thumb.
  • The acupressure massage therapist may use his elbows, knees or even feet for certain treatments.
  • Sometimes, a special blunt instrument is used for certain acupressure procedures

The practitioner applies pressure in a circular motion or he may knead the muscles or use percussion.

The efficacy of the treatment does not depend on the amount of pressure applied. Some clients prefer more pressure and some less.
The practitioner will adjust his technique to accommodate your personal comfort level.
Aside from targeting the acupuncture meridians, an acupressure massage practitioner may also use traditional remedial massage techniques to relieve muscle stiffness and disperse built up toxins in the body.
What Does Acupressure Massage Treat?
Acupuncture massage is not designed to treat specific illnesses.
It is a holistic treatment designed to help enhance your body’s ability to heal itself. Some common complaints many people have found relief from include:

  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Back Pain
  • Muscle Soreness

Acupressure massage is also used as an adjunct to conventional medical treatments, as a way to help hasten the healing process and improve a patient’s sense of well being.

You can choose to have anything from a short (usually about 20 minutes), relaxing head and neck treatment to a full body acupressure massage that may last for well over an hour.
Afterwards, you will probably be advised to drink plenty of water, in order to flush the released toxins out of the body.

Most people come away feeling totally relaxed and refreshed and often experience relief from the disorders that led them to seek acupressure massage therapy

Body Scrub

To rejuvenate the skin we remove the dead surface skin cells by meansof a full body exfoliation on a massage bed in our purpose built wet room

This can be followed, by a full body massage for a more complete feeling of well-being.

Foot Massage

Over thousands of years,Reflexology practitioners have developed a map of the feet locating specific regions which correspond to major body organs.

The theory is that the nerve endings in the feet pass through these organs on the way to the head and appropriate pressure on these regions can not only make the feet more relaxed but canbe beneficial fortheassociated organs. Our foot massage always begins with a 15minute soak in beneficial herbs to fully relax the feet prior to the massage.

For a complete body service we also offer a facial  massage using either natural products or the customer may bring their own.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine is part of a larger healing system called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which also includes acupuncture, massage dietary advice and exercise. TCM is a popular method of treatment, with nearly three million Australians visiting TCM practitioners every year.

The underlying principles of TCM are very different from traditional Western notions about health, illness and the workings of the body. Chinese herbs are prescribed to normalise imbalanced energy, or Qi (pronounced ‘chee’), that runs through invisible meridians in the body.

Reviews

“I stumbled on this shop the other day and had simply the best deep tissue massage I have had in Brisbane which after a few days makes me feel awesome . I would recommend this shop for anyone needing a good deep massage”

“Very good Thai massage with back walk. I’ve been 4 times over the last year and has been consistently excellent massage leaving me feeling relaxed and un-knotted.”

“Meh… The place smells weird. Massage is ok-ish, and she put so much oil that it felt greasy.”

“Not enough focus on pampering and massaging the back. Very painful experience. I’m all bruised along my back. Very close to being assault rather than a massage. When you are in pain the masseuse ignores you when you ask her to stop and be gentler. I recommend that you don’t go there for a massage.”

“Having a tank drive back and forth over you would be more pleasant and less painful they have no idea what a real massage should be. very unprofessional. left with more problems then when I arrived”
