Luke Sheedy is owner and operator of Human Energy. He is a fully qualified, award-winning remedial massage therapist, counsellor and personal trainer with a qualification in nutrition.

He is also a Member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists and Fitness Australia Health and Fitness Industry Association. Luke holds a masters degree in Reiki (energy healing).

Usually when we get pain such as headache, muscle or joint pain, the normal reaction is to reach for medication, which can help to temporarily mask the symptoms.

However, it does nothing to address the real underlying cause.

Pain can manifest itself in a physical way however the root of the problem can often be emotional.

At Human Energy, Luke tries to understand the physical and emotional reasons behind the pain, by taking a holistic approach, through various treatments including remedial massage and alternative therapies.

By restoring balance and harmony to the body, through remedial massage and other treatments, the body will be revitalised and will have long-term wellbeing.

A treatment will be tailored to your individual requirements, and could include:

Deep tissue / sports massage

A firm therapeutic massage that uses a variety of techniques to stretch and lengthen contracted muscles to reduce spasm and relieve sports injuries and chronic complaints.

A massage technique which involves the use of deep massage pressure across the fibre of the muscle.

This helps to heal physical pain, recurring tension and emotional stresses within the body. Deep tissue massage applies greater pressure than a relaxation massage to deeper layers of the muscle.

This massage technique is used to release trigger points and increase blood circulation to muscle tissue, as well as to reduce contracted muscles which cause joint restriction and mobility.

Remedial massage

A healing massage which uses a number of different techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and stretching.

It stimulates the circulation of blood to the tissue allowing toxins and impurities to be released, which have built up in the muscles due to overuse and injury.

ENAR treatment

ENAR is a hand-held therapeutic device that uses electrical signals to find and treat problems when the device is on the skin.

It restores the flow of energy and this facilitates both pain relief and healing of the affected area.

This treatment is only offered by select therapists around the country. This treatment is very effective combined with a remedial massage.

Crystal therapy

Crystals have been used in healing since ancient times.

Illness can often originate from disturbances in the chakras (the body’s energy points) and crystals are natural transmitters and receivers of energy used to aid recovery.

Reiki / energy healing

An energy treatment restores flow of energy to an area of the body which may be blocked due to emotional, mental or spiritual imbalances.

A reflexology treatment focuses on relaxation and balancing the body systems.

Reflex points, which correspond to parts of the body can be found in the feet, hands, face and ears.
