About us

Hurstville Physio Plus has been providing excellence in physiotherapy and customer service to the St George community and beyond since 2000. Located in the heart of Hurstville Town Centre we are conveniently located on Ormonde Parade, across the street from Hurstville train station.

We have thousands of loyal clients who happily recommend us to their family, friends and colleagues who live and work in the local area; from Hurstville to Mortdale, Blakehurst to Oatley, Penshurst to Kogarah, Peakhurst to Allawah.

At Hurstville Physio Plus our physiotherapists are committed to enhancing the health of all our clients and we pride ourselves on our ability to treat people from all walks of life.

Our aim is to make our clients better, faster and stronger. We continually strive to exceed the expectations of our clients by providing high quality services in a professional, caring and friendly environment.

We provide professional individualised physiotherapy treatment for:

We offer home visits for acute injuries or particularly for older people who are unable to attend the clinic.

We also provide rehabilitation, postural improvement, group fitness classes and personal training.

Our team

Greg O’Riordan
Principal physiotherapist

Greg established Hurstville Physio Plus 17 years ago and having grown up in St George enjoys seeing many familiar faces in the practice. He has 22 years’ experience as a manual physiotherapist in acute sports injuries and general rehabilitation settings. He is passionate about correct posture and effective strengthening to prevent pain and injury whether it relates to sports, work, adolescents or the elderly. His background in Sports Science and personal training compliments his exceptional awareness of body mechanics and exercise programming.

Greg’s belief is that health and fitness  is a life-long pursuit with many older people benefiting from his extensive work in Aged Care in the local St George and Sutherland Shire area.

He has treated Academy Award winners, Wimbledon champions, the London Royal Ballet and weekend warriors. He also had the honour of being the first civilian physiotherapist to attend a British Royal Marine Winter deployment to Norway.

He is a keen golfer and snow skier and coaches local junior cricket and football.

Matthew Lee
Physiotherapist

Matthew has a Masters in Physiotherapy as well as a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from Sydney. He has a keen interest in spinal injuries and brings his experience from working with local spinal specialists to his current role. He sees his focus on exercise prescription in rehabilitating his patients and, maintaining optimum performance and movement as key to his patient’s successful recovery.

He is a keen badminton player and snowboarder, and also loves to travel.

Carol Leong
Physiotherapist

Carol completed a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. She has developed a broad skill set through use of manual therapy techniques, dry needling, hydrotherapy and exercise prescription to effectively achieve client’s goals. She brings her experience form working in several different private clinics, with a special interest in spinal injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation and women’s health.  Carol enjoys travelling and venturing to different cafes and restaurants. With her love for outdoor activities, she also enjoys the beach, hiking and playing basketball.

Simon Xing
Physiotherapist

Simon has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney. He started working for Hurstville Physio Plus in 2016, after working in a wide range of physiotherapy settings including rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and personal training. Since his graduation, Simon has continued to compliment his interest in physiotherapy by pursuing further education in muscle energy and dry needling techniques.

Simon is a keen swimmer, having practiced swimming since a young age. He also has strong interests in fencing, karate, and snowboarding. He enjoys to travel as well as sit back with the latest movie Marvel or DC has to offer.  Simon prides himself in his hands on approach and approachable nature.

Barbara Kallinosis
Aged care and rehabilitation physiotherapist

Barbara is a St George local and her professional career in health started over 25 years ago. She has qualifications in physiotherapy, Occupational Health and Safety and Social Ecology.

Her particular interest is in Aged Care physiotherapy within the local community. She visits many clients in their own homes to help with their rehabilitation; particularly after a stroke and to maintain strength and mobility to support them to continue living independently. In AGED Care facilities she helps clients improve or restore their mobility, and develop strength and confidence to enable continued participation with activities of everyday living.

Barbara has loved living in the St George area for the last 16 years with her daughter and family. Her interests include, cycling, swimming, bushwalking, yoga, reading and live theatre.

Angelique Zappia
Practice manager

Angelique has over 15 year’s of experience in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in the corporate retail and childcare sector.

She enjoys working as part of a team, is great at organising us all and loves greeting our clients with a smile.

Angelique enjoys cake making and racing around after her two young daughters.

Sheena O’Riordan
Business manager

Sheena has 27 years’ experience in the healthcare sector where her work has focused on quality improvement, adult education and promoting best practice in primary care.

She has been actively involved in supporting Greg to transition from being a sole practitioner 16 years ago when she moved from England to Australia, to being the thriving multidisciplinary practice it is today.

She balances her work with her own professional career and raising her and Greg’s two boys.
