It’s an East meets West (End) Experience…

I Do Thai Massage and Spa was established in a beautiful character cottage in the heart of West End in 2011, only a few minutes out of Brisbane’s CBD, yet a world away from the noise of the city.

On stepping into the premises, you will feel the calm and tranquil energy.

This is your opportunity to leave your shoes and worldly worries at the front door,  switch off your phone and indulge in some time for yourself.

Offering five private air conditioned rooms, including a Couples Room, Traditional Thai floor mats and chaise lounges, we are able to cater to all of our clients in comfort.

I Do has built a reputation on both our warm service and the skill of our therapists, many who have undertaken extensive training and built up excellent and highly sought after techniques.

Any tension, stress, aches and pains will be soothed away, with our therapies designed to work on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

We have both male and female therapists and when you have found the personal style that suits you, you may book that therapist exclusively if you choose.

Whether it is some serious deep tissue therapy required or a few hours of indulgence and tranquillity; our clients know and love the I Do difference; and keep coming back.

All of our treatments finish with a cup of Byron Bay Tea Co’s herbal tea in our front garden or waiting room, where you can relax and ground after your treatment to the sounds of relaxation music and our trickling water feature- the perfect way to send you back into the world feeling truly refreshed.

We stock a handpicked range of gorgeous products including teas from Byron Bay Tea Company, delicious handmade vegan Mud & Co bath and body products, incense, candles, Thai massage balms  and many other Thai inspired ornaments and art.

We also have gift vouchers if you wish to share the experience with a loved one, as well as fantastic corporate, event and special occasion packages.

If you are a frequent visitor- we offer a wonderful loyalty program which gives you 50% off every 5th visit (that is one in ten treatments on the house), which is our way of saying thanks to our fantastic clientele.

Most of all, come in, relax and leave feeling amazing!

We look forward to seeing you soon,

Services

THAI TRADITIONAL MASSAGE

Traditional Thai Massage technique is known as the most holistic type of therapy.

It combines modern scientific knowledge of anatomy of physiology with the disciplines of traditional oriental medicine.

It employs combinations of rhythmic acupressure, body rocking and deep assisted stretches to relieve muscular tension and enables more blood to be carried throughout the body.

Some people may have had certain experiences of Thai massage in Thailand.

It is important for me to explain, the Thai massage that is provided in Thailand to foreign visitors and Tourists is not the same as that of a qualified Thai Masseuse.

They tend not to use Thai balm or Thai Herbal compress and just carry out pressure pressing, stretching, bending and twisting, which is mainly for relaxing mainly and not for physical benefit.

If you have experienced massage treatment from someone who is not a qualified therapist please understand that not everyone uses the same technique.

Even therepists who are training from the Wat Po Thai Medical school, may use their own technique and style when carrying out Thai massage.

We would like to explain the difference between traditional Thai massage and Thai advanced massage, as it is important that you understand before making an appointment.

Please ask before I start your treatment if you do not fully understand the differences.

Do you suffer from the following symptoms?

General aches and pains, Frozen shoulder, Lower back pain, Mid back pains, Heavy arms and legs no power aches & pains, Sciatica, Headaches/ Migraine, Knee pains, Cramps, Knots ,Period Pains

The traditional Thai massage we use to treat clients in my Spa is for relaxing only (without Herbal compress and without Thai balm).
You will get a full body massage which will last in total for 60mins.

The Thai advance massage we use to treat client problems, in particular the areas you suffer aches and pains.

For the standard price you will not get a full body massage, and I recommended you book between 1 hour 30 mins or 2 hours to cover your whole body.

we will use Thai balm and the Herbal compress for intensive treatment.

Please provide me with very clear details which area of your body you having problems with, so we can provide you with the right treatment.

Sometimes it will take longer than one treatment to improve your aches and pains. The speed of recovery will depend how long you have been having the problems.

Especially if your job involves lots of driving, sitting in front of a computer, heavy lifting, or standing all day and you have suffered from frozen shoulder or sciatica for more than a month.

REFLEXOLOGY / THAI FOOT MASSAGE

Starts with a foot soak on arrival with salt exfoliation. Relax in our big comfy chaise with a lavender eye pillow and 60 mins thai foot massage and reflexology which stimulates the body’s organs removing toxins and has a beneficial effect on a persons general health.

Your feet and lower legs will be stretched and massaged to open the energy lines and your treatment will be finished with a soothing hands arms head neck and shoulders massage 30mins.

Sit back and enjoy Byron Bay herbal tea. Total Bliss for 90 mins $99
(normal price $125) Group bookings are welcome max 6 people at a time !

REMEDIAL / DEEP TISSUE / SPORTS

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.

It is especially helpful for chronologically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness and sore shoulders, although these places on our body are not exclusive to problems.

Deep tissue massage, as it suggests, works on a deeper level than traditional massage and is able to work in the deeper layers of the muscle.

The massage is carried out with the client undressed (proper draping ensured) on a comfortable table using aroma oil. This type of massage soothes and encourages a peaceful mind.

During this multi-hand massage, therapists use long soothing strokes but at times intertwine their hands to produce motions that cause the body to resonate with multiple sensations.

This 60-minute treatment provides more than double the results. There is nothing like it!

Reviews

“Feeling very serene and relaxed after a fantastic remedial message at I Do Thai massage. I went in this afternoon after recently moving to West End due to back neck and shoulder problems and generally feeling all around terrible, I feel like this place has really kneaded out the stubborn knots in my back like no other. Also really adore the aromatherapy menthol / peppermint rub and scented towel they used on my face and the back of my neck, I feel like I am breathing better now! They sorted out pains and aches I didn’t realise I even had. Would definitely return!”

“Our special play date day was wonderful. We were pampered from head to toe, scrubbed silky smooth and the Thai massage was possibly one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I feel completely relaxed and rejuvenated and we stayed for over an hour afterwards sharing. Eautiful fruit and tea together in a serene tingly state of bliss. Thank you everyone for making us all feel so amazing ”

“A massage was booked as a birthday surprise by my husband and what an incredible present it was! The staff were seamless, from the receptionist to the masseuse and presented a professional yet totally relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend. I changed the type of massage when I arrived (sorry!) but it was accommodated without any issues – and as it was confirmed by the masseuse prior to starting, so I felt reassured the message was communicated. All in all, a fantastic experience.”

“Outstanding service via Kiera when booking and when we arrived (she is amazing !) and then really good varirty of massages to choose from ….. highly recommend”

“I went to the place with no booking to have a massage and they were welcome to look after me in!! The place is clean and organised the Therapist was kind and the pressure was just the right one! I absolutely love it!! Thank you guys!”
