Tips and Procedures

Treat your new Tattoo as a wound.

Wash your hands thoroughly whenever you are taking care of your new Tattoo.

Carefully remove the dressing after 2 hours and discard it appropriately.

Gently and minimally wash the Tattoo by hand (avoid rubbing) with a mild Antibacterial soap and water and let the Tattoo air dry.

If you must dry your Tattoo do so with a soft washcloth and pat dry.

Apply a skin repair lotion such as Bepanthen, Tattoo Goo, there are many more brands and products available.

The lotion can be applied 3 to 4 times daily for several days.

It is possible to apply cling wrap to the Tattoo overnight for the first two nights.

The re-application of lotion and the cling wrap technique may create too much moisture

for some people, this requires self-monitoring.

Do not swim in chlorinated pools or spas within the first week.

Do not soak your Tattoo in water within the first week.

Do not subject you Tattoo to sunlight or Tanning until its healed.

Do not let anyone else, including pets, touch your Tattoo while it is healing.

Do not pick at or scratch you Tattoo while it is healing.

Do not apply any product containing dye, perfume, lanolin, vitamin E, aloe or alcohol to your Tattoo.
