What is Laser Tattoo Removal?
By choosing the right wavelength and energy dosage, the laser light, gently penetrates the surface of your skin to target tattoo ink pigments at the source.* It helps your body’s immune system to break the ink down and eventually eliminate it –safely and effectively.*

How does it work?
After a detailed consultation, our qualified and experienced laser practitioner, will aim the laser beam over the tattooed area. Your skin rapidly absorbs this concentrated light energy which breaks down the tattoo pigment in your skin.* The ink gradually filters out of your body through your immune system.*

How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments you require will depend on the amount and type of ink in your tattoo and how deep it has been injected into the skin initially.

Not all inks are created equal. Blue, black and red inks fade best. Orange and purples also respond well. However, green and yellow inks are the most difficult to remove and may require additional treatments for best results.

If you were tattooed by a professional tattooist, we typically recommend eight or more sessions.* Amateur tattoos or shading tattoos may require as few as 4-6 treatments.*

What are anti-wrinkle injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections are designed to subtly rejuvenate your face and soften wrinkles using a muscle relaxant product in an injection form. Specifically, they help to reduce fine lines and superficial wrinkles caused by everyday facial expressions such as smiling, frowning and squinting.*

Although anti-wrinkle injections have been used to treat various medical conditions for many years, such as migraine pain, TMJ pain, excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis). They were formally approved for cosmetic applications in Australia in 2002.

How does it work?
Using a tiny needle, we inject a few drops of wrinkle relaxing solution into each muscle that creates the wrinkle (not into the wrinkle itself).

When injected, the solution blocks the nerve impulse from reaching that area. This relaxes the muscle which gradually softens the wrinkle – or sometimes, even makes it disappear.* The muscle spasms or movements that cause wrinkling also stop or are greatly reduced after the injection.*

Each session takes approximately 30 minutes and you will usually see results within three to seven to days of the wrinkle injection.* Maximum benefit is reached after one to two weeks.*

The effect is for several months, but not permanent.*

 Who is it for? 
If your facial expressions are beginning to cause premature wrinkles, anti-wrinkle injections may be for you.

Although wrinkle injections do help to reduce static wrinkles, they are most effective for superficial wrinkles caused by repetitive facial expressions.*

What are the side-effects?

And because the treatment requires no sedative or anaesthetic, you will be able to resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

What are the risks?
Although complications are rare, some people may occasionally experience the following short-term effects one to two weeks after receiving a wrinkle reduction injection:

• Localised pain

• Headache

• Tenderness or bruising

• Droopy eyelid or eyebrow (very rare)

The likelihood of these adverse effects may increase if you are on antibiotics or other medications. That’s why full disclosure and consultation with our cosmetic physician is so important before undergoing treatment.

Importantly, anti-wrinkle injections are NOT safe for pregnant women as they may harm the placenta.

How long does it last?
The wrinkle reduction benefits last approximately four to seven months, depending on each individual. The effects wear off very gradually – at which point you may return for another treatment.

What are the side-effects?
The sensation of laser hair removal is often described as similar to the snap of a thin rubber band. Because of the advanced cooling technology of LightSheer, no anaesthesia creams are normally required and many patients report minimal discomfort.*

Your treatment area may become slightly red after the session. However, this will naturally resolve in a few minutes to several hours – depending on your skin sensitivity.*

What are the risks?
