Our clients are not only based in the local area but a significant number of our clients are remotely located including interstate and overseas. We appreciate that in this current day, our lives are busier than ever and fitting in an appointment with an accountant may prove to be difficult. Our modern approach involves keeping fully updated with our clients through technology available, which avoids the need for regular visits to our office if it is inconvenient. Staff

Kyelie Baxter: Kyelie Baxter is the principal of IQ Accountants and has over 15 years of public practice experience. She is a graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Southern Queensland and became a CPA member in 2000. She began her career in Toowoomba which over the years has evolved to IQ Accountants.

She is a past Telstra Business Women’s Awards finalist and believes that the most important function of being a good accounting advisor is to be able to understand the needs of the client. She, together with the rest of the IQ Accountants team strive to make the Australian Tax system complication free and easy to keep up with compliance obligations.

When Kyelie isn’t at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children.

Renae Cameron: Renae is IQ Accountants longest serving staff member and is an available contact and source of advice for all clients. She completed her Bachelor of Business from Griffith University and became a member of CPA in 2007. Renae provides a wealth of knowledge and is responsible for the professional development program run internally in the office, designed to keep the entire IQ Accountants team up to date with changes and relevant information. Renae has lived on the Gold Coast for most of her life, completing high school at Palm Beach Currumbin State School – only a few suburbs from the office.

Jesika Srpek: Jesika is a long serving staff member, as she began working at IQ Accountants in January 2008. Jes began in administration and moved to reception and has recently been promoted to the newly created client services position. Jesika is responsible for all corporate secretarial activities as well as most ATO dealings and has an excellent track record in negotiating payment plans on clients behalf. Her friendly nature and can do attitude make her an asset to the team.

Naomi Armstrong: Naomi Armstrong is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant and has a wealth of public practice experience. She is well travelled and has worked in larger Brisbane firms prior to joining the IQ team in mid 2013. One of Naomi’s strengths is her ability to explain complex situations in easy to understand terms which means that clients are able to see the big picture issues and solutions without the technical lingo that often complicate issues. Naomi is currently on maternity leave after welcoming her first child Samantha in July 2015.

Brock Askey: Brock has recently completed his degree in Commerce majoring in accounting and economics through Griffith University whilst working 4 days a week in the office. Brock rewarded himself with an overseas trip to Europe to celebrate the end of his university degree. He plans to begin his post graduate studies in the new year. In his spare time Brock enjoys playing football for Palm Beach Currumbin and keeping fit, active and healthy.

Judy Connelly: Judy is our newest staff member and joins the IQ team with over 10 years of public practice experience. She is a Gold Coast local, having worked on the coast for her whole accounting career and enjoys dealing with clients directly and explaining their individual tax situations in easy to understand terms, ensuring the best possible outcome. Her genuine demeanour and friendly approach has enabled her to fit with the IQ office with ease.

Ryan Martin: Ryan has over 5 years public practice experience and can be found in our office on Friday’s. A fully qualified CPA, Ryan completed his studies while working at IQ Accountants and then took a well deserved break overseas. He now shares his time between our office and a commerce role and we are so pleased to welcome him back on this part time basis.
