Janice Schmitzer created Ivy Emerald after having great difficulty in sourcing a quality boy’s gown for her first grandson’s Baptism. “My four daughters and two granddaughters had all worn the same gown but we wanted something special for a little boy”. Ivy Emerald was consequently established in 2008 encompassing Janice’s love for babies, timeless traditions and special family heirlooms. ‘I chose Ivy Emerald as the name of my business in memory of my kind and gentle grandmother ‘Ivy Elfie Emerald’.’
