Julie’s Embroidery Brookvale, is celebrating its 19th year in business.
Staying up to date – if there is a new product on the market and we believe it is affordable and of quality, you will see it here and if not we will source it for you.
Julie’s Embriodery is proud to have served the Sydney area and Northern Beaches since 1997 and look forward to many more years serving the businesses, corporates, tradies, clubs, schools and the general public for many more.
THE HISTORY OF JULIE’S EMBROIDERY
Julie’s Embroidery opened its doors on 2nd January 1997 with a staff of two, the owner, Julienne Morgan and Trevor Stuart-Dent.
It was a daunting time initially, having started from scratch with no customers. Julie had been in the embroidery business for 10 years prior to starting her own business, so knew the embroidery business inside out.
By word of mouth and knocking on business doors from 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday for the first 5 months, the work started coming in.
Julie’s then decided that they would supply garments as well as embroidery.
With their typical “never say no” to any job attitude, they started selling garments from the Stencil catalogue. This led to Julie doing research on importers and gradually the number of importers that they used increased.
Some of the initial importers that Julie’s used were Johnny Bobbin, Fashion Biz, Legend, Dynamic Headwear, Headwear Stockists but to name a few.
These days, Julie’s Embroidery works with 27 importers who can supply a vast range of clothing, from singlets to business suits, from caps to bags, work wear and sports club wear to uniforms, and hospitality wear for restaurants and clubs.
In fact there are more than 4,500 garments in the range that Julie’s can supply, and that is not taking into account the various colours within styles!
After renting (and out growing) 2 factories in our first 5 years, Julie bought the factory where we operate from now, 1/121a Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale, NSW. It has a well stocked showroom, and catalogues that you can browse to see the full range available and most importantly plenty of car parking space on-site! (Parking anywhere in Brookvale is almost impossible, so the onsite parking is a blessing for our customers).
All the embroidery is done in-house so that we can keep a watch on the quality, which is of prime importance to us.
Julie’s Embroidery has diversified in that we now offer an excellent screen printing service. From single colour to 4-colour process printing. Julie’s also offers a vinyl number and name service for clubs and individuals that want to personalize their supporters jerseys and tops and playing tops. Another service that Julie’s now offer is vinyl printing. When a logo is too detailed for embroidery this is a great option. This is particularly suited to caps, where the embroidery dimensions are restricted.
Sponsorship
From the outset, Julie’s has been involved in the local community. From being on the very first committee for Bear Cottage, a hospice for terminally ill children and their families, being involved in Royal Far West facility in Manly, to sponsoring local junior and senior Surf, Rugby Union, Tennis, League, Football, Cricket, Gymnastics, Fishing, Baseball, Netball, and golf clubs, to being involved in supporting Cerebral Palsy Alliance, through supporting the Col Crawford Golf Day each year since we started.
Julie’s is committed to the local community and each year, through sponsorship, donations, gifts, discounts and grants, returns 10% of their previous years annual turnover back to the local communities.
