“We have been doing mastectomy bras for over 20 years,” she said.

“We started offering the service because no one else was. If you have had a Mastectomy or Lumpectomy,
don’t throw out your bras. I can alter them to fit.

“Ring for an appointment. Medicare supplies a breast prothesis every two years.”

Alterations to bras can also include front-opening – suitable for women after shoulder surgery or those with less mobility.
As well as undergarments, Mrs Adcock’s business offers an alteration service and a wide range of bridesmaid,
mother-of-the-bride and wedding dresses. The business has been open for about 45 years in Margate.
