Linquist Hair is a full-service, family-run salon, and our stylists have been caring for our loyal clients for more than 60 years.

Now managed by Phillip and Suzanne Linquist, our Lindfield salon has helped generations of Sydney-area clients look and feel their best.

Our motto is “Great Hair, Great Care,” and we strive to provide that to every client, every day.

Our hairdressers are certified stylists and colourists, and they receive regular, ongoing training to maintain and improve their skills.

They utilise the latest techniques and offer our clients a wide range of beautiful styles, from contemporary trends to timeless classics.

We combine our skills with a high level of personal attention and individual care.

Our stylists take the time to listen to the needs and concerns of our clients, and we note their preferences, so we can provide them with consistent service during each visit.

Services

Cutting
At Linquist Hair, we offer a range of different cuts for men, women, and children to meet your individual needs. Every appointment begins with a conversation, so our stylists can learn how you care for your hair, what you like and dislike about your current cut, and if you’d like to change it in any way. Once we’ve discussed your options and chosen a direction, we’ll proceed with a wet or dry haircut, using high quality cleansing and styling products from Redken, Pureology, and Agave.

Styling & Treatments
Our hairdressers are experts at caring for hair, and we love helping our clients nurture their locks and improve their styles. We offer a number of treatments—from toners and refreshers that enhance your colour between colourings to washes, blow-drys, and upstyles for times when you need a little extra help to look your best. Colouring
Whether you want a dramatic colour change or simple grey coverage, our certified colourists can help you find the colouring solution that’s right for you. We utilize gentle semi-permanent colours from Redken to condition hair, blend in grey, and give your natural colour a boost for six to eight weeks. For longer-lasting results, we use permanent colours and tints from Redken that penetrate the cortex of the hair, infusing your hair with beautiful, vibrant colour.

Highlights & Lowlights
Looking to give your colour a boost? Highlights, lowlights, streaks, and balayage are all great ways to add colour, texture and dimension to hair. Our colour experts use these techniques to create lovely, rich colour for light hair or to bring accents of light, colour, and shine to dark hair. We’ll help you choose which one—or which combination—is right for your hair, based on the results you’d like to achieve.

Straightening & Retexturising
Naturally curly, wavy, or frizzy hair can be difficult to tame, but our certified specialists can make it much easier for you. Straightening and retexturising hair is one of our specialities at Linquist Hair, and we use top quality treatments from AgaveSmooth, Kerasmooth, and Bio Ionic to give you hair that’s relaxed, manageable, and simple to style.

Style Support & Permanent Waving
Perming gained a bad reputation in the past for making hair frizzy and damaged, but today’s perms have improved dramatically and can even be used on colour-treated hair. Our stylists have selected high-quality perming solutions from Redken and Goldwell, and a no-rinse formula from Vita5, for our clients. All three add permanent curls, waves, and body to the hair, while leaving it soft and shiny.
