MEDICARE AND PRIVATE HEALTH FUNDS

Some private health funds will rebate a set amount per year.  It is recommended you check with your private health provider if applicable.

From the 1 November 2006, the Australian Government introduced new Medicare items for psychological treatment by registered psychologists. In order to receive a Medicare rebate you are required to have a referral from your General Practitioner. If eligible you can generally receive up to 10 individual services in a calendar year.
