From our humble beginnings in 2002, founded by Damien McKern, we’ve worked hard to build a personable and confident approach to working with our clients. We see our clients as our partners and our success is built on their success.

Our team, now well over 30 accountants and advisers, are deeply committed to growing in their skills and knowledge so that we can apply this to our clients business. This thirst for knowledge is what drives our culture of constant learning.

McKern and Associates is structured in a way that ensures you have a team of professional advisors dedicated to your needs with varying experience and qualifications across a broad range of business and finance disciplines. Each team is headed up by a CA/CPA qualified Client Manager and incorporates accountants at varying levels from Senior, many of which are also CA/CPA qualified, through to undergraduate level.

By implementing this team structure we can ensure that there is always a team member at the appropriate level and cost available to you who will have knowledge and experience with your file and particular circumstances. It also means that each team has a broad range of specialisations and skill sets able to be utilised with our clients.

We are committed to maintaining our high level of technical knowledge and skill base with ongoing training both in house and with external associations. This ensures that we are up to date with all things Tax and Compliance, legislative updates and current case rulings meaning even our graduate level accountants are able to assist in the preparation of your financial statements and tax returns. Complex advice will be handled by senior accountants with all work being overseen by your Client Manager and Damien McKern.
