SAMANTHA BARKER

Osteopath

Samantha is the Owner & Osteopath available at Mortdale Allied Health.

She has been a practicing Osteopath for 8 years, holds a Masters Degree in Osteopathy.

Osteopathy is a manual therapy, involving the combination of soft tissue work, stretching techniques and manipulation of the bones and muscles to improve your mobility

YELENA TOWNSEND

Massage Therapist

Yelena has a range of hands on experience in remedial and sports massage since completing her Certificate IV and Diploma of remedial massage at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies.

Her in depth knowledge of anatomy and positive attitude towards health allows her to give you the best treatment possible to alleviate your bodily aches and pains.

CLAUDIA MELLO

Massage Therapist

Claudia has followed her passion for health and fitness by completing a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education.

This gives Claudia an enhanced knowledge on all aspects of Fitness Training, Health and Wellbeing to allow for a comprehensive massage treatment tailored to your specific needs.

ROANNA VAN DEN BERG

Massage Therapist

Roanna has been practicing Remedial Massage for five years. She has previously taught massage therapy at Endeavour College and is currently completing a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of New South Wales.

Her passion for physical activity and movement, along with her knowledge of functional anatomy enable her to personalise your treatment for the best results.

Remedial Massage

Ideal for treating muscle & joint pain, post trauma care, nervous tension and anxiety. A personalised treatment will address specific complaints such as pain, postural alignment and muscle imbalances.

Massage is useful to help:

• Encourage circulation of fluid in and around the soft tissues
• Modifying muscle physiology to overcome hypertonicity and spasm
• Relieving musculoskeletal pain
• Promote relaxation and a general feeling of well being

Deep Tissue and Sports

Good for the treatment of sporting injuries or when you may require a more intense massage to relieve strong muscular tension.

Stronger massages can help to:

• Improve pliability, flexibility & elasticity
• Loosen scar tissue
• Reduce some forms of swelling (after injury or overuse)
• Promote deep muscle and tissue relaxation
• Relieve muscle pain

Pregnancy Massage

For treatment and relief of the discomfort and stress that pregnancy can place on the body.

A pregnancy massage has a number of benefits including:

• To aid in prevention of muscle spasm and back pain
• Reducing pelvic pain caused during pregnancy
• Improving circulation and reducing swelling in feet and ankles
