Mortdale Family Chiropractic
Matthew Olthof is the principal chiropractor at Mortdale Family Chiropractic and prides himself on providing caring, thorough, effective and evidence based chiropractic care to help you overcome back pain, neck pain, disc injuries, sciatica, nerve pain, shoulder pain, sporting injuries, headaches, migraine and other neuromusculoskeletal disorders.
Using chiropractic and soft tissue techniques, the chiropractors at Mortdale Family Chiropractic can help you get out of pain, stay out of pain and feeling great! Rehabilitation and specific exercises are an important aspect of our treatment strategy and we may give you exercises to do as part of your treatment plan to help prevent injury or re-injury.
Situated in the heart of Mortdale, next to Mortdale train station, Mortdale Family Chiropractic is conveniently located for residents of Mortdale, Oatley, Penshurst, Lugarno, Peakhurst and the surrounding suburbs of St George and the Sutherland Shire.

About Mortdale Family Chiropractic
Matthew Olthof (BSc – Exercise Science, Master of Chiropractic)
Matthew Olthof is a fully qualified Chiropractor and Exercise Scientist who has been serving the St George and Sutherland Shire communities since graduating from Macquarie University in 2008. In this time he has seen many people of all ages and all walks of life benefit from chiropractic care. Matthew had been working in Oatley since 2009 and opened Mortdale Family Chiropractic in August 2012.
As a chiropractor in Mortdale Matthew has helped people with:

- Sciatica and nerve pain
- Neck pain and tension
- Headaches and migraine
- Pregnancy care
- Paediatric MSK issues
- Sports injuries and sports performance
- Shoulder injuries and rehabilitation
Matthew primarily uses manual chiropractic adjusting techniques (done by hand) alongside soft tissue techniques, instrument adjusting, and sometimes dry needling to help correct and alleviate the causes of pain. Matthew will take the time in each visit to thoroughly assess your needs and treat you accordingly. Home exercises will also often be given to help maintain your health and prevent re-injury.
Matthew is currently taking some time away from the practice and leaving it in the very capable hands of Bryce.
Bryce Peters – Chiropractor
Bryce Peters graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic science and a Masters of Chiropractic. Bryce lives locally and has joined Mortdale Family Chiropractic in 2016.
Bryce has a keen interest in rehabilitation, orthopaedics, manual manipulations and sports medicine and has been involved in a variety of placements including the ‘Gear up girl’ cycling event held in Cronulla, the‘Super Sikhs’ sporting cup, the ‘OXFAM walk for life’ event as well as a geriatric care placement at the southern cross care retirement village.
The techniques Bryce implements in his practice include: Manual adjusting using diversified chiropractic technique, manual joint mobilisations, and a variety of soft tissue techniques including Myofascial release technique, Trigger point therapy and Post isometric relaxation.
Bryce has a strong passion for healthcare and manual therapies and is dedicated to providing comfortable and effective treatments for each of his patients to maximise their quality of life and empower them to take charge of their well-being.
Prudence Crichton-Browne – Chiropractor
Prudence graduated with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2013.
With a focus on providing quality care to people of all ages using a variety of gentle techniques including adjustments, mobilisations, soft tissues methods and rehabilitation to provide a complete treatment for each individual patient.
Prudence has an emphasis on work related injuries such a headache and chronic neck pain along with a growing interest in woman’s health and pregnancy care.
Having a young family keeps Prudence active and outdoors.
A registered member of Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Prue is currently on Maternity leave and expected to return late in 2016.
Patricia Jancovich – Remedial Massage Therapist
Patricia Jancovich is a fully qualified therapist who has been working in the industry since 1994. She holds Diplomas in Remedial Massage, Reflexology and Lymphatic Drainage and has also lectured at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies in Bach Flower Remedies. Patricia continues to update her knowledge and skills by regularly attending courses and lectures, is an accredited member of “ATMS”, and has provider numbers with all health funds. Treatments are catered to the individual client’s needs-including a combination of components of Massage, Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage and Bach Flowers where appropriate.
In 2014 Patricia completed a course in Contemporary Iridology, which is now also available via prior arrangement. During one of these sessions clients will be given verbal feedback about their inherited constitutions and genetic health predispositions, all of which will be made available in an extensive written report. Please note that Contemporary Iridology does not attract a rebate from health funds, unless it is included as part of our “Iridology Package” (ie combined with Massage, Reflexology or Lymphatic Drainage).
Diana Robson – Naturopath
Diana is a fully qualified Naturopath, registered with the National Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA). She completed her Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy at Australasian College of Natural Therapies (ACNT). As an enthusiastic and compassionate Naturopath, Diana aims to educate and empower her clients to achieve optimal health and wellbeing. She avidly believes in the Naturopathic core philosophy, that given the correct requirements “the body has an innate ability to heal itself.”
Whilst Diana treats a broad range of conditions, she has a special interest in digestive health, improving immunity, adrenal and thyroid problems, male and female hormonal health problems. Mental health complaints such as stress, anxiety, depression are also of special interest to her as they are so prevalent today and can be extremely debilitating. As a mother of two children, Diana has a personal and professional interest in treating children and adolescents, helping to strengthen young immune systems so that the frequency and duration of illness is reduced.
Diana is a dedicated practitioner who combines traditional naturopathic healthcare with evidence-based medicine to help you achieve greater health and vigour. Naturopathic modalities she uses are: overall health assessment and diet analysis, herbal medicine treatments, vitamin and mineral supplementation, Bach flower treatments and iris diagnosis. She believes that eating nutritious food is the first step towards good health. As part of your consultation, she will provide dietary advice to help you to optimise the nutritive and therapeutic value of the food you eat.
