Not all products nor treatments are created equally, it truly is a minefield for the consumer when it comes to making choices about your skin.

Having worked in the industry for a really long time (I have seen, tried & heard it all), I come from a completely different direction to most – believing we need to assist our skin to heal itself.

This belief is called “corneotherapy” – which is an innovative and progressive skin treatment methodology that has proven it is possible to achieve a healthy skin with an optimally functioning innate immune system by preventing or reducing structural inflammation.

This is achieved by using preventative interventions which are primarily directed to correction & restoration of the stratum corneum (outer layer) & barrier defence systems.

I choose to recommend only “clean formulas” because of these beliefs.

Society & the cosmetics industry has set the bar very high, making the demands, expectations & hopes placed on providers of any “beauty” related service immense – trapped by the possibilities flaunted by the media & advertisers. As with most things in our lives it is about balancing the positives, whilst having realistic expectations.

Technology is now a very important part of this process – I use a precision digital device called an SD202 (which gives me neat measurements from under your skin) & the Observ skin diagnostic device – based on LED illumination technology revealing the hidden skin conditions & concerns with unparalleled clarity, taking us on a journey of pictures beneath your skin. No guesswork, ever!
