New Lengths is a small local hair salon that is owned and ran by one of the most experienced stylists in the Penrith area.

I have been in the hairdressing industry for 10yrs, and have worked in a range of different salons where I always build up a popular clientele, offering clients new styles and advice on how to manage and take care of their hair.

I opened the salon almost 4 yrs ago and since I have found so much joy in working on a business that had nothing, to creating one of the most comfortable, affordable and friendly environments in the industry. I love creating new styles that compliment all our clients features, which I always take into consideration when consulting so we come to an agreement on a new or existing style. The past few years I have not only been running a successful hairdressing salon, but have also met some beautiful people along the way, which now support me on a regular basis by coming into the salon for our variety of services,

In 2013, I have welcomed our now not so new jnr stylist. Samantha, which clients and myself love. Samantha always goes above and beyond in learning new skills it has been a pleasure to pass down my skills to Sam, it has been wonderful watching her grow as a young women and as a stylist creating her own little twist on styles and I for one cant wait to see more of what Sam has to offer to the salon and hairdressing industry.

I am currently half way through my apprenticeship at New Lengths in which I have loved every minute of it. I have been very passionate about choosing this as my career it has been my dream job since I was a little girl.
In the past year that I have been working at the salon I have met so many lovely clients which have given me the experience and chance to further my career as a hairdresser which I am very thankful for. I am grateful to have an enthusiastic boss who has taught me so many skills and given me the opportunity to strive, grow and to better my abilities in hairdressing to become a great hairdresser just like her. I hope my many years of hairdressing to come, are as joyful and memorable as the last 12 months have been.
