CREATIVE DIRECTOR

DENISE PARKS
As Creative Director of Next International I am responsible for the quality of training provided to our salons team, from the apprentices to the senior stylists. I have attended the Sassoon Academy since 1982 more times then I can remember, at Sassoons they refer to the Parks family as Sassoon royalty.

I have been hairdressing now for over 40 years, and 30 of them in Brisbane and the gold coast the last 23years with Next International. I started my hairdressing career in County Durham with Browns Salon, which was and still is the best place to train as a hairdresser in the Northeast of England.

Being a third generation hairdresser and with 3 of our 5 Children being hairdressers I would say our love for hairdressing is in the blood. My passion has always been hairdressing, I love cutting hair and making my clients look and feel amazing.

The most important thing to me is what my clients do with their hair once they leave the salon I want their style to look good every day.

My haircuts are very easy to manage, it is all about cutting a shape that falls into place with minimum styling. I design the haircut to always suit the individuals face shape, hair texture and lifestyle. I believe a great haircut is not complete without an amazing colour.

MASTER STYLIST / SALON MANAGER

LOUISE BEECHEY
Louise is one of the foundation stylists at Next International Helensvale, providing great service and quality hairdressing expertise for 16 years.

Louise is a dedicated and passionate hairdressing professional with a large customer base of loyal clientele and regualar word-of-mouth referrals.

Her technical talents range from a one-off up style for that special occasion right through to the modern short cuts with colour to suit.

Louise keeps up to date with changes in hairdressing trends by regularly attending the Sydney Hair Expo and in-salon training in Vidal Sassoon cutting techniques. She is an expert colourist in both application and recommendation of Schwarzkopf product.

For Louise, the client’s individual needs and comfort are paramount and she appreciates the professional difference a quality hairdresser can make to your appearance.

Louise takes pride in her consultative approach and ensures her clients receive high quality, professional service combined with the technical expertise to create the perfect result for you.

SAMANTHA LIVINGSTON
As far as I can remember I have had a passion for hair. I decided to start my career as a basic tea and tidy girl whilst I finished high school and was excited to get into my apprenticeship. Almost 11 years later and here I am; still hairdressing, still full of passion, creativity and am inspired on a daily basis. I have worked for Next International Salons (based at Oxenford) for the last 8 years and it has only enhanced my abilities and enthusiasm! The team at Next are not only passionate but constantly kept up to date with the latest hair fasion, trends, products and most importantly inspired by our creative directors.

Creative colours and styling is mostly where my passion lies, but there isn’t one part about this career that I don’t like. It brings me great joy to be able to create amazing styles for my beautiful and loyal clients that make them not only look amazing but feel amazing! I have completed many courses and events throughout my years of hairdressing and even had the pleasure of assisting in some cases.

It is from these experiences and my passion that has brought me to where I am now.

MARK

Mark comes to us with a wealth of knowledge with 22 years of hairdressing behind him. He started his training in Tamworth then moved to Sydney and continued his hairdressing in London working for Daniel Hersheson at Harvey Nichols.

Mark has entered many competitions and won 1st place in the International Hairstylists society competition for cut and colour as well as men’s hairdressing.

FRANCESCA FARRELL

Francesca is our fun, fresh, happy and creative stylist who has  been with Next International for 11years. She is one of those people that have a natural talent and passion for hairdressing and you can see that in her personality while she is at work and with her hairdressing skills.

In her 11years with Next International she has attended a number of creative styling, cutting and colouring courses and also has flown down to Sydney to be inspired at the annual Sydney hair expos!

Francesca was our salon manager for 3 years before taking a year off to start a new chapter in her life becoming a mum to her beautiful daughter Scarlett-Rose.

With Francesca’s passion and drive she keeps herself up to date with the latest fashions and hairstyles which you can see shine through with her talents and passion with her happy clients!

COURTNEY SAYLE

Courtney made the decision to leave school after completing year 10 and pursue her career in the Hair and Beauty industry. Courtney firstly qualified as a Beauty Therapist and through this found herself very passionate about hair, which is when she joined the Next International Team. Her drive and determination has helped her to excel in this industry and has made her the hairdresser she is today.

Courtney has been trained in a number of our private training institutes such as Kerastase Paris and Schwarzkopf professional to ensure she is fully up to date and knowledgeable with colour and care.

Courtney is a real asset to the Next International team as her fun and bubbly personality really shines and makes for a happy salon environment.

BRODIE HOLTON PALMER

When I was 14 I came into into next international to have my hair cut and styled and from there on in I knew I wanted to be a hairdresser, in year 10 I studied my cert II in hair dressing, then in year 11 I went on to gain a school based apprenticeship and began my cert III. I love hair redressing and the opportunity to express my creativity with the pleasure to transforms someone’s hair that leaves them filled with confidence and happiness. I’m always looking forward to challenging my job with pursuing latest trending colour and cutting courses.

EMILY

Half way through year 11, I was offered the opportunity to start my full time apprenticeship through Next. I was so excited! I see hairdressing as a great career opportunity as you can make client’s look and feel amazing every day. The thing I love most about my job is getting to see the amazing transformations and making clients feel beautiful. The part of my job that I enjoy is providing clients with an amazing basin experience and have them walk out feeling refreshed and pampered. My future goals are too complete my apprenticeship at Next, build up my own clientele and eventually manage a salon.

KATE HARDY

Originally from Zimbabwe, moved to the Gold Coast from the UK as an International Student to embark on my hairdressing journey. Better late than never as I’ve not looked back since. I love the creativity hairdressing offers and the chance to provide a warm and caring experience to all my clients. It’s a privilege to work for this amazing salon and even more so as I get to share my time at both Oxenford and Coomera.
