About Us

Nick Brown has been making shirts in Sydney for about 25 years. Originally based at Paddington markets, our shop opened at 397 Bourke Street Darlinghurst, 17 years ago under the name Tuckwell Brown. We now trade as Nick Brown Menswear.

All our garments are hand cut by Nick and sewn in Sydney. The fabrics are sourced locally but come from all over the world. Using the same template we generally produce a limited run of garments in a wide variety of fabrics. Over the years, these have ranged from fine poplins and silks to hospital blankets, lace, embroidery and fur.
We are always adding new fabric selections to our range.

We also make pants, shorts, tops, jackets and tee shirts.

Garments can be made to order and/or we can customise them for you.

Over the years we have sold garments not just to our local community but also to people from all over Australia and the world. Some of our customers are still wearing garments that were purchased well over a decade ago.
