Northcote Massage massage therapy has been operating at Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre since August 2005.  All the massage therapists are dedicated in assisting people to improve their general health and well-being or assisting people wanting to improve their sporting achievements.

Massage Therapists

Jenny

Jenny has worked in the health industry since 1986, and primarily in the area of massage since 2005.

Jenny’s interests in massage are to assist people with pain management of their muscular system using a variety of soft tissue techniques. These muscular aches and pains can occur due to a variety of reasons and can also be effectively treated.

Jenny has a keen interest in remedial massage work and sports massage therapy. Jenny has assisted runners, walkers and cyclists with both pre and post events training by treating any muscular dysfunction that may occur when training for a major event.

Jenny works on Tuesday and Wednesday Health fund rebates are available.

Peta
Peta is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist who can address your musculoskeletal dysfunction.  Peta initially studied the Cert IV in relaxation massage then continued on to the Diploma of Remedial Massage. After this Peta continued her studies in the Certificate of Pregnancy Massage.

Peta’s treatments may include gentle and deeper massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretching and cupping. A combination of these treatments can be used during a session according to the client’s needs.

Peta offers massage therapy that aims to relax the muscular system that has become tense due to the many demands that are placed on our bodies during daily life.  Peta has experience with sporting groups and a strong knowledge of muscle dysfunction that can occur with normal everyday activities.

Peta has a special interest in working with women through all life stages. She is a member of Australian Association of Massage Therapy.

Peta is available on Thursday mornings, Friday evenings and Sundays mornings.  Health fund rebates are available.

Gillian
Gillian holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage and is currently studying The Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy, Heidelberg.

As Gillian has a keen personal interest in running, health and fitness, she has chosen to specialize in Sports Massage.

Gillian’s goals as a therapist are to assist clients to optimize their abilities in their sporting activities and everyday life.

She will achieve this by identifying and addressing muscular tension and dysfunction; this will allow the client to then increase musculoskeletal flexibility.

Gillian is a member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists, and is registered with all Health Insurance funds.

Gillian is available for appointments on Saturdays from 8AM-2PM please see reception for bookings.

Julie

Julie developed a keen interest in sports massage many years ago when friends and family began competing in running events. From that beginning, Julie went on to study the Diploma in Remedial Massage, specializing in sports massage therapy, trigger point therapy, and stretch therapy techniques.  Julie has worked at several sporting events over the years including the Melbourne Marathon and Relay for Life.

Julie’s clients will benefit from an individualised treatment plan incorporating general, deep tissue, and sport massage strokes and techniques, with the aim of reducing muscle tension, promoting flexibility and preventing injuries.

Whether you are a regular exerciser, a keen gardener or just generally active you will benefit from Julie’s extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal dysfunction and treatment with massage therapy.

Julie is available for appointments on Sunday afternoons, which is a perfect time to sort out any tired and sore muscles from an active weekend.  Julie is registered with all the health funds except Medibank Private and HCF.
