Novoscalp Clinic is all about Scalp Micropigmentation. We specialise in this innovative treatment for hair loss in men and women which uses a cosmetic tattooing technique to simulate the appearance of hair follicles.

The treatment uses a series of tiny pigment deposits of slightly varying sizes and shades which are strategically placed within the epidermal layers of the scalp to simulate the random arrangement of hair follicles.  Treatments at Novoscalp Clinic

All Hair Loss Treatments we provide begin with an initial consultation. This is a free and informal chat without obligation where we determine your suitability for treatment. Your consultation is an opportunity to ask as many questions as you like and to be informed about all aspects of the procedure. As our practitioners have had the treatment themselves, they also have their own experiences to share.

Advice will be provided to suit your own unique circumstances. If you decide to go ahead with the treatment, sessions are scheduled in accordance with your treatment type and at a time that is convenient for you.  We can also arrange for consultations via Skype for country or interstate clients.

There is also financing available for treatments which has a significant no-interest period
and a number of different repayment options.

Our Approach

One of the main fears people have is about the contrast of a scalp tattoo being too dark and looking unnatural. All SMP ‘tattoo’ treatments we do are applied conservatively where the tone is built up
over the duration of the session or subsequent sessions.

A Novoscalp SMP Treatment utilises the Scalp Aesthetics Technique to ‘tattoo’ a series of tiny pigment deposits of slightly varying sizes which are strategically placed within the dermal layers of the scalp to simulate the random arrangement of hair follicles. For balding men this solution results in a very low maintenance closely-shaved look requiring a few minutes of shaving time every two or three days.

A natural look is achieved by filling the crown with follicle replications and moving forward towards the subtle sculpting of a soft gradating hairline or more of a sharp edged up look over bald or near bald scalp. The simulated areas are then blended through to the areas of normal growth to result in an even density and the realistic illusion of a full head of closely-shaved hair.

Most treatments for Hair Replication and Hair Density require 2 or 3 sessions which usually last for
up to 3 hours. The cost of treatment depends on the extent of your hair loss and how much coverage and blending is required to achieve the desired outcome.

Hair Density Treatments for Men and Women

Thinning hair can be devastating for women and men alike. Especially in women, it is often the contrasting scalp colour that makes this problem appear worse than it really is. The Novoscalp Density Treatments involve depositing pigment into the scalp dermis in a stipple effect as hair follicle replications or a shading effect creating the illusion of shadow and density. This is applied in 2 or 3 separate passes/sessions layering up to match the tone of existing follicles and hair strands

SMP for Hair Transplant and Cranial Scar Camouflage

The scarring from FUE and FUT hair transplant surgeries can be quite extensive.
Scalp Micropigmentation conceals the appearance of these scars or those from trauma
or other surgeries by depositing tiny amounts of pigment to simulate follicles in the
scar tissue to blend with the surrounding follicles.

SMP for Alopecia Areata

Success rates of treatment for those who suffer this type of alopecia using corticosteroids and
other therapies are relatively low. While there is no cure in undergoing scalp micropigmentation,
it proves to be an effective option for disguising the hair loss caused by this disease.
