“Susan was my hairdresser for about 6 years in Cairns for cuts, colouring, upstyles and keratin treatment. I especially miss her expertise with keratin, as it would last 4-5 months each time (Susan has done it for me 5 times) and it completely resolved the need for any products to remove frizziness, which I loved. The expense and time for the treatment was well worth it for the time it saved me in styling my hair. Products and blowdrying are no substitute for the glossy seal that keratin provides… and I don’t have the patience or skill anyway. The pin straight effect only lasts for about 1-2 weeks, then my natural wave came back a little (which I prefer). Susan doesn’t take shortcuts with the treatment either- she does a very thorough preparation and dries and irons the keratin in properly so it stays- as your hair grows, you can actually see after 4-5 months where the new growth is, as it is frizzier! In addition, I recently had a treatment done here in Cairns which I thought would be the same as the products Susan uses. It wasn’t.. It stung my eyes (formaldehyde based?) and lasted for about 3 weeks. I am still looking for a hairdresser here in Cairns who can do the same treatment.”
