Oxford was first established in 1978. The first store was opened in Sydney at Bondi Junction in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs. The concept was initially conceived to provide a bridge between designer clothing and an overcrowded middle market that characterized Sydney retailing at the time. The brand successfully developed throughout the 1980’s earning a reputation as an innovative, and sometimes ‘quirky’, alternative to many higher priced brands.
By 1990, the company opened a further 5 stores in Sydney that were located in the downtown area, as well as in the northern and eastern suburbs. Capitalizing on Oxford’s enviable reputation for progressive and creative design, and now under new management, the company decided to pursue a growth strategy by opening an additional 20 stores in the new geographical markets of Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane.

The Oxford brand has evolved over time into a modern, contemporary and stylish collection for both men, and more recently, women. The look is individual and aspirational, successfully combining good design, high quality and excellent value.

Oxford aims to communicate a clear and consistent marketing message by aligning advertising and store windows with product design and a comfortable, welcoming internal store environment. Oxford retail managers and sales executives are expertly screened and inducted into the Oxford family to provide our customers with enhanced levels of service while demonstrating exceptional product knowledge.

Capitalising on Oxford’s enviable reputation for progressive and creative design, the company decided to pursue a growth strategy by opening an additional 20 stores in the Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane throughout the 1990’s.

Currently, Oxford’s ever-expanding retail network has more than 40 stores throughout Australia.

DELIVERY POLICY

Delivery and Shipping

FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $100

Oxford delivers to all Australian & New Zealand addresses with eParcel by Australia Post. Your billing and shipping address must be within these territories for us to process your order.

A flat fee of $10.00 is charged for shipping and handling within Australia & $20.00 for NZ orders.

Generally your order will take 2-3 business days for handling and shipping between capital cities once payment has been received. Any orders received after 12noon on a given business day are handled the following day. During busier sale periods, please allow between 5-7 business days for your order to arrive.

We deliver by eParcel and as a signature is required on delivery, we therefore recommend that you provide an attended address. Please note that eParcel also deliver to PO Boxes if this suits you. If using a work address, please be sure to include the business name in the address 1 field.

If no one is available to sign for the parcel a calling card will be left by your local postman to pick-up from your nearest post office within 10 working days.

If you are trying to estimate when a package will arrive please consider the following:

•   Credit card authorisation and address verification must be received prior to processing.

•   Orders placed after Midday will be downloaded into the system for the following day therefore not processed that day.

• If an item you have ordered is out of stock online, we will attempt to locate your item at another store, and dispatch to you as soon as the item becomes available. We will notify you within 4 business days if this event has occurred or if the item has sold out across all stores.

• During busy sale periods, please allow extra time, approx 5-7 working days for your order to arrive.

RETURN POLICY

ONLINE RETURNS POLICY

This policy is strictly for ONLINE returns only.

We aim to provide you with the best online shopping experience, and it’s really important that you love your purchase from Oxford. If you are not completely satisfied with your online order, Oxford will gladly refund your item/s.

Please note you cannot exchange items via the online store. If you would like to change an item for a different size or colour, you’ll need to place a new order as all returned items will automatically be refunded. However, you are more than welcome to exchange your items in one of our Oxford stores, see below for details regarding ‘How to Exchange At An Oxford Store’.

All apparel must be unwashed, unworn and in original condition (this includes all original tags and packaging). All footwear should be tried on a carpeted surface only before wear. The shoe box and other packaging must accompany the product on return. This does not mean you cannot try it on for size!

HOW DO I RETURN MY ONLINE ORDER BY POST?

If you would like to return an item, please complete the details requested on your paper tax invoice sent with the goods. Here you can specify and add any relevant notes.

If you no longer have the paper receipt please print and include your online order confirmation email.

Please return the item/items to us in their original condition within 14 days of receiving your order, along with your tax invoice or order confirmation email.

Refunds are processed within 5-7 days of Oxford online receiving the goods.

We would recommend using a traceable method such as registered or express post. It is your responsibility to ensure goods arrive safely to our return address. Please note customers are responsible for all return postage costs for change of mind returns.

HOW DO I EXCHANGE MY ONLINE ORDER AT AN OXFORD STORE?

Oxford will exchange online purchases for full price items at any store. *Clearance items (marked with X) can only be exchanged at an Oxford outlet store. Exchanges must be made within 14 days of purchase. The online receipt is required when making an exchange. Please note that Oxford stores can only exchange items purchased online. Oxford stores are unable to issue refunds. Refunds can only be processed by the online store.

I HAVE RETURNED MY ONLINE ORDER, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? 

Once the item/s have been received and reviewed, we will then gladly credit your original method of payment. Refunds can only be credited back to the credit card or Paypal account that was used to make the original purchase. The refund will be processed as soon as the items have been received and inspected by Oxford. Please allow 5-7 working days from the day you return the item for your account to be credited.

Once your order has been received by Oxford and the refund has been processed, you will receive an email from Online customer care.

Return items that have been worn, damaged or altered from their original state will not be exchanged or refunded, and will be returned to the customer.

We regret that we are unable to refund original shipping and handling costs, unless the item was faulty or not as ordered. We do not refund postage on change of mind returns.

WHAT IF MY ITEM IS FAULTY? 

We aim to provide our customers with products of the highest standard and quality. In the unfortunate event that your item arrives faulty, please email customer.care@oxfordshop.com.au or call (02) 9318 2211 immediately and we can guide you through the returns process and help resolve this matter as quickly as possible. Please note we may require a photo of the faulty item(s). If an item is deemed faulty, we will be happy to issue you with an exchange, credit voucher or full refund. Please contact us to arrange return postage of any faulty items and we will cover the cost of return shipping. *We are unable to refund postage costs on faulty items if you decide to post the item of your own accord.
