Originally from Japan, Asako Ford has been living in Melbourne for 11 years.  Asako is a fully qualified Remedial Massage Therapist having consulted for a respected Day Spa in Brighton and an Ayurvedic clinic in the Melbourne CBD. ​

Her technical repertoire includes Remedial, Sports, Therapeutic, Deep tissue, Relaxation and Pregnancy massage.  Asako will consult and meet each client’s needs with the aim to provide a relaxing time during the session.

Not only is Asako able to help with your deeper, therapeutic massage needs,​ trigger points and muscle-release techniques,  Asako is also an Ayurvedic Lifestyle consultant, having studied and practiced with a well-known Ayurvedic Doctor in Sydney.  She is devoted to providing holistic massage treatments, caring for your mind, body and spirit.

One of Asako’s specialities is in the field of Oncology Massage Treatments.  Oncology Massage is for those who have been diagnosed with cancer or those with a history of cancer treatment.

Asako enjoys providing relaxation and quality time to resident nursing homes clients.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage is a deep massage performed by skilled hands to treat specific areas of built up tension within the musculoskeletal system.  Key benefits of Remedial Massage are; stimulation to the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed, the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort, and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility.​​

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.  It is designed to reach the deeper sections of thick muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibres.  Deep tissue massage is highly recommended for chronic lower back pain, stiff neck and shoulder.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation Massage is all about relaxing.  The aim of this massage is to give the client time to recover from the stresses of daily life.  The end of treatment culminates in a heavenly face and head massage that will take away your stress!

Pregnancy Massage

​Pregnancy Massage is focused on health, well being and relaxation for the mother – to – be.  Also provided are some remedial massage techniques to ease muscle tension and release minor problems during pregnancy.
