Introduction to our Company
Payne Luyten and Associates Pty Ltd, is a Certified Practicing Accounting practice with the best interest of clients being at the forefront of our operations. We pride ourselves on being efficient, accurate and giving personal attention to all aspects of our client base and their needs. Our focus is on small business, individual income tax returns and self managed superannuation fund audits.
To enable us to meet the needs of our clients our staff specialises in various areas to deliver the most up to date and accurate results in this changing environment in which we operate. Clive is our expert in the preparation of individual income tax returns, and the audits of self managed superannuation funds. He also has a wide knowledge of small business formations, and other related compliance issues which are faced by small business on a regular basis.
Nola and Lily look after our business clients, providing small business with a One Stop approach to all small business accounting needs. This includes from formation, setting up your accounting system with MYOB, assistance with training, BAS preparation work, business trends/analysis, financial statements through to income tax returns.
FBT, Capital Gains Tax, GST are the other area’s which weave their way through a small business and their activities. Nola is more than happy to help you navigate your way through this complexity either with compliance issues or information a business needs to understand what is needed to keep a business on track.
It does not matter if you are a small home base business or individual with a rental property; to a larger business with employees, operating in single of multiple locations, we have the capability of meeting your needs. Our People
Clive Payne
Clive Payne is the founder and Director of Payne Luyten and Associates, and is a Certified Practicing Accountant holding a Public Practice Certificate, Tax Agents Registration. Clive has experience in a wide range of accounting, tax law and other regulatory requirements. This experience of 30 years spans not only public practice which is where he started after obtaining his Bachelor of Business, but includes twelve years as an Auditor for the Australian Taxation Office.
Currently Clive deals with clients in providing tax and business advice, preparation of a range of tax returns and provides audit services for self managed superannuation funds. However next year he will be expanding into completing Quality Assurance Reviews on other CPA accountants and firms.
Clive has seen his practice grow from a small practitioner operating out of home, into a small office in Acacia Ridge; Nola joining in 2001 moving to Sunnybank; the addition of Lily and other staff; with our final move to the new office in Acacia Ridge in May of 2008.

Nola Luyten
Nola Luyten has been an Accountant with Payne Luyten and Associates since we started operation in 2000. Nola comes from a background of working with Small Business in a hand’s on role, and in commercial operations in cost and management accounting. She is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants and holds the FIPA status (Fellow Institute of Fublic Accountants) with a public practice certificate. Adding to her 35 years plus of experience in the accounting field, Nola has completed her Masters in Commerce. This combination gives Nola the ability to work at the grass roots with clients and still be able to deal with the complexities which are required in today’s accounting environment.
Nola specializes in the MYOB Accounting package, she is familiar with all aspects of the package with hands on experience dating back to just after the launch of the MYOB package in 1992. While compliance issues faced by a business are a necessary evil, Nola can also assist you in helping your business to grow through looking at your business operations and accounting methods.
Like the other members of the Payne Luyten team, Nola has a family although the children are a little older and sometimes help out with computer expertise within the business. She juggles her work and family life around a busy schedule and a husband who works interstate. Showing, that Nola has multi tasking down to a well honed skill.
Lily Seeto
Lily Seeto has been with Payne Luyten and Associates for just over five years and is a valuable member of our Accounting team. Lily assists Nola in the MYOB Accouting field, and has a breadth of knowledge covering small business and individual income tax returns.
Lily has Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland and is an associate member of the CPA’s. Her experience includes working in public practice for over 15 years. Besides working at Payne Luyten & Associates she juggles a family which includes two children, and enjoys travelling and dining out.
Rebecca Payne
Rebecca has been working at Payne Luyten since January 2005 and has been an integral part of Payne Luyten and has been behind a lot of the changes here at Payne Luyten in recent times.
As part of Rebecca’s role working as a senior client and legal resource manager at Payne Luyten, she has been delegated key responsibilities, which included staff and client education and awareness, legal research assistant for relevant legislation, and the fostering of a culture of compliance amongst all stakeholders via fact sheets, newsletters, and better practice guides.
Utilising this information and developing productive communication, listening and negotiating skills Rebecca has able to foster strong client relationships which has helped us to communicate clearly to our client’s the necessary compliance and legislative requirements relating to their tax assessments, and the appropriate Australian Taxation procedures they would have to follow.
Rebecca has further developed applicable fact sheets and newsletters and over time she has been able to incorporate changes to the fact sheets and newsletters based on staff and stakeholder feedback. Rebecca is innovative and has strong problem solving abilities and is always looking for ways to improve managerial systems here at Payne Luyten. Rebecca is an important member of Payne Luyten and she is always assisting in the drafting and development of policies and procedures that assist with the company’s ongoing growth and development.
