“Love the name”

“I went here for a facial that was given to me after I got engaged from my mum. It came highly recommended and I planned on going there once a month leading up to my wedding so I would look great on the day. I called them prior to booking my appointment as I was confused about what I should have and where I should start (I don’t get facials ever!) They were really helpful on the phone and booked me in for a consultation and then a facial afterwards. When I arrived I had to fill in a very detailed information sheet. I gave it back to the staff when I had finished. All of a sudden staff yelled across the room , “What medication are you on? Are you on any? We really need to know”. I was so embarrassed and humiliated. It was a terrible thing for them to do and breached my privacy. They could have called me over to the counter, or asked me to confirm the information in a more private matter. After this happened staff ushered me into a cubical and began the consultation. They said NOTHING good about my skin. I am a 36 year old woman, some redness and a few wrinkles. They told me the only thing I could do would get dermaroller done. I had NO idea what that was and I asked them if there was a mask involved and they told me that they put a local anasthetic on my face, so I guess there was. I was mortified! It was also $300 and took 2 hours. I asked them about all the other facials they had on offer, I even had the pamphlet for reference and they said that they would not help my skin and none of those facials would work. Work?! I just wanted to be pampered! I told them that I wanted to leave, that this was all too much for me and all I wanted was a facial! I pretty much had to beg them to give me one. Staff huffed and told me that we would have to change rooms as I was in the dermaroller room, and I hadn’t even said I wanted it in the first place! After 15 minutes, feeling humiliated staff took me to another room that had no equipment and was not prepared for me. Staff were called to bring in equipment to help set up. After the facial, I handed the staff the voucher and walked out. I called when I got home to make a formal complaint, my fiance also called to make a complaint about their treatment of me and we are still waiting for a call back. I never want to step foot in there again.”
