My name is Caroline, Thanks for stopping by! I would love to tell you about my business, and how I can assist your Dog! Petholistics is a canine muscle therapy business for pet/racing /agility dogs. I visit your pet at home where they are most comfortable. I like to start with a full body analysis, observing your dog’s movement, gait, and their range of movement. I then gather as much information from you as possible before commencing treatment so that I am well equipped to assist your dog. A full body massage will be performed at each session, and stretching may be applied if necessary. Canine Myofunctional therapy is a professional and safe massage. CMT aims to improve the general wellbeing of your dog by improving the functioning of their muscles, organs and nerves as well as improving blood and lymph circulation. Massage and stretching is fantastic for racing dogs as it assists in the break down of muscle adhesions, improves longevity, increases length of stride and increases oxygen intake. Massage will also help to release muscle tension and prevent lactic acid building up in their muscles. All dogs can benefit from muscle therapy. Even the healthiest of pet dogs will at times have tight muscles and will need for them to be released. If one muscle is injured, many others may be out of balance as they over compensating for the injury. Massage is a great way to prevent injuries and to keep the muscles and body supple and in peak condition. Arthritic dogs can benefit greatly from massage as many muscles will be tight and will be compensating. Massage will help to improve muscle tone that has been lost. CMT can improve elasticity of connective tissue, coat and skin condition, aid in pain management and improve nutrient uptake. Massage induces relaxation so can assist with nervous and anxious dogs. Behavioural problems can stem from tight muscles which can affect the nerves. Petholistics aim is to improve the health, happiness and quality of life for your dog!

“My Aussie Terrier Carlo ruptured his cruciate ligament this past July and required surgery and strict rest and crating until he was healed. Caroline’s first service was included as part of his “surgical package” at the Chandlers Hill vet. We rang Caroline because after conducting some research and having under gone knee replacement surgery myself I understood the need for physical therapy and massage as part of the rehabilitation process. Caroline arrived and both my boys greeted her with much fanfare. We had to separate the dogs as they were quite bewildered and excited with what was going on and what this stranger was here for. After popping Carlo, Caroline and me in the lounge, I watched as she calmed Carlo with some lovely long massage strokes and a beautiful peaceful aura . Caoline came weekly for an hour for about 6 weeks and now we’re down to monthly . Carlo loves to see her when she comes to visit and his leg has healed beautifully with equal weight bearing and use of his leg post surgery . He doesn’t “hop” on three legs and is happily back at the beach swimming and chasing his brother. We can’t speak or bark highly enough of Caroline and what she has done for Carlo . He’s also back to walking for 45 -60 minutes without pain and has managed to stave off cruciate damage in his other leg because he’s using all 4 legs . Thank you Caroline for caring for our little Wombat we look forward to continuing our now preventative massage and Monty will look forward to having his own .”
