Services

Sports Physiotherapy

Sporting injuries are often associated with an acute incident, or with overuse due to a biomechanical issue. Critical to recovery is the speed of intervention, enabling you to discover the source of an injury and to maximise the rate of recovery. Whether it’s an ankle sprain, an ACL tear, or tennis elbow, you need the right recovery program to help support your healing.

Back And Neck Pain

This is a specialised approach to managing back pain, sciatica, scoliosis, disc bulges, headaches, a wry neck and other spinal conditions. A manipulation or manual therapy technique is applied to help ease pain and align the spine. Doing exercises that match the therapy is your key to long-term management.

WorkCover & CTP

We treat injured workers and patients from motor vehicle accidents with hands-on therapy in the acute phase of an injury. If required, we can move you quickly to a supervised gym-based program to develop exercise series that target your pain or disability and strengthens your body.

Chronic Pain Condition

Chronic conditions require more specialised intervention. Techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy may be applied to back pain. Exercise therapy such as GYROTONIC® and Pilates are ideal for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome and more.

Post-Surgical
Rehabilitation

Physio Gym™ physiotherapy is the optimal environment for post-surgical rehabilitation. You’ll start with a focused program developed by the physiotherapist, which you’ll be able to maintain in a safe, supervised environment. We offer programs for back surgery, arthroscopy surgery such as ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, shoulder reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, and total knee and hip replacements.

Neuromuscular
Physiotherapy

A program can be set to coordinate and strengthen the muscles, using the GYROTONIC® method, Pilates and gym equipment.

Kinesio Taping

Kinesio tape can be used to assist the ability of muscles to work effectively, aiding in the relaxation of overused and overextended muscles, as well as the rehabilitation of muscular injuries. It’s also ideal for correcting posture and supporting injured muscles when playing sports.

Real Time
Ultrasound (RTUS)

At Physio Gym™ physiotherapy we’re able to use real time ultrasound to assess how well your core muscles are working. This allows the physio to find out if you’re able to activate your stabilising abdominal muscles. It can also be used to help exercise the pelvic floor.

Casts, Splints & Braces

Waterproof casts and backslabs can be applied to arm, wrist and leg breaks. They can also be removed when cleared by your orthopaedic surgeon or doctor. Splints can be molded for hand, wrist and elbow joints. Cam boots are available for ankle or foot fractures.

Reviews

“I’ve been going to PhysioGym for over 5 years now, both for physio treatment, to pilates and gyro tonics classes and generally to use the gym. I really like the atmosphere, the staff are lovely and always ready to help. The classes are great with good attention to technique and individual needs, as are the individual programs which have been designed for me. Don’t what I’d do without my Pilates fix twice a week. When I’ve needed treatment I’ve found all the physios excellent. Love your work, guys!”

“I love going to gym (Physio Gym) either do my own stuff or a class (or both). So much I can do – gym equipment, Pilates equipment : Reformers, Caddie etc . And as well…. I have my program (physio advised).”
