PhysioWorks History

Physio Works is a group of like-minded physiotherapy clinics based in Brisbane Queensland Australia.

The Physio Works group was established in 1991 when five single-physiotherapist operated practices joined forces with a bigger vision.

While the focus of PhysioWorks has remained on the solving the individual needs of the patient using the latest in evidence-based methods, other things have changed.

Our PhysioWorks team continues to grow has expanded to eight clinics and a team of over 60 staff including 20+ physiotherapists, 10+ massage therapists, dietitians, hand therapists and a wonderfully friendly and caring reception and administration team.

We can now offer the thousands of patients that we see each week an exceptional multi-practitioner, multi-locations and multi-disciplinary approach to our patient care.

“I would recommend Mansfield PhysioWorks to anyone. I went in there in agony a few weeks ago, and I could barely walk with a sore back. They not only helped me to keep going, but gave me the confidence that I would get over this – something even my doctor was doubting at the time. They did all the little things right – they listened, gave me a diagnosis, explained the problem and how they were going to fix it. They did some pushing treatment on my back, and also some other tingling electrodes to help it settle down. After that they gradually worked up my exercises and gave me stretches, and two weeks later I was brilliant. I just wish I’d gone 6 weeks earlier. The girl behind the desk was very nice too – she even helped me out to the car on the first day when I couldn’t walk very well.”

“A few weeks ago I woke up and couldn’t turn my neck. I was attending a friend’s wedding in 5 days time so i really wanted it fixed quickly. I saw one of the physios on the first day who wriggled the joints around and got it 50% better. I saw another physio on the 2nd day who was just as good, and by the end of the session in which he also did some massage to the muscles it was almost moving fully. (Funnily enough his name was almost the same as mine – Alex Wight, not Alex Wright!) . I only needed one more session on the Friday to have it feeling absolutely 100%.
