“For eight months I’ve been having regular $80 cuts (cursory trims as I grow my hair) at Pink Sugar, on the recommendation of a friend. Until yesterday, the proprietor was pleasant and seemed fine technically. After yesterday’s cut, I got home to discover that the left side from front to behind my ear-level was 2.5cm shorter than the rest, with a clear step cut into the length on that side only! Called her today and dropped in as she suggested, and asked for it to be fixed somehow so that at least both sides match … After some fudging, she made it clear it was MY “fault” the cut is so imbalanced (I’d asked for a light layers to be put in the left side, so it looked like the right), that this is what “layers” look like and she is not responsible for how my hair looks. I feel insulted and unfairly treated. BAD haircut (she had to have seen it when she blew it dry), very unprofessional behaviour, and she’s lost a loyal customer. Unfortunately, I couldn’t recommend her to anyone!”

“I work as a visual designs communications manager and drove past one night. the salon was glowing pink..IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME. so i called the next day and booked in an appointment. What started off as a pleasant conversation with the hairdresser turned out to be a complete night mare. I was at the salon for at least 3 hours stuck with her kids. It was almost impossible to ignore them; being concerned they were going to hurt themselves horseplaying all over the salon. the younger kid hit me and bit me. You just think you’ve finished a hard day at work and would like to end the day with a nice visit to the salon to pamper yourself but instead your dealing with screaming kids and being spit and hit by them. It was completely overpriced.”
