“I live in St Ives and I like to share my experience please be patient if you want to find out how Platinum Plumber stands out from the rest. I have been haunted by an underground leakage since August 2015 after found out from the water bill losing around 1000 L of water per day . I have spent thousand of dollars trying to locate the leak. (name a few companies like online, omega etc.) and the funny thing was none of them were able to find the leak due to poly pipes were used for the house plumbing, however I still have to pay for their attendance callout and etc.. Most plumber I have approached just couldn’t be bothered with dig and locate instead offering a re-run of the pipe lines which will cause major work in restoration cost since I have 3 bathrooms, timber floors kitchen fit outs etc. Later during some time off work I have attempted to manually dig and expose tracing the water pipe hoping that Ill get to the leak, and by accident I have damaged the rain water pipe while digging. On the day tried to call Jims pluming to do the repair work but there is a $200 call out fee plus $80 per 15 MINUTES rate and they can not guarantee leak getting fixed (I told them off in a polite way as their rate is a joke). Later my wife found Platinum Plumbers, they charge no call out fee and the reviews were and still is 5/5. Couple of days later Rhys came to my house and he was polite, switched on and respect my house by taking shoes off and etc. I told him my story he understood my needs and frustration. Later we came up with a work scope instead of more service locating it is rather a physical approach to fix the problem! He offered to expose and trace the pipe line from the hot water unit to service inlets to the house, then to replace all cold, hot and gas line with proper copper pipes, fix any damaged rainwater pipe and backfill properly with gravels. During the excavation we have encountered the damaged pipe and a leak test was carried out straightaway to ensure there is no other leak for my sake of relief after my 4 months of frustration. I was impressed by the amount of work they could handle in one day and they continued to work in the rain until everything was properly fixed, housekeeping etc. Thanks to Rhys and his crew the job has been done well, thanks for the your will to go the extra mile, and more IMPORTANTLY the leakage is now fixed. I would definitely recommend Platinum Plumbers ! Hard to find good trades now days. And hope by sharing my experience here will help others to avoid some of the mistakes I have made.
