Matt has been a physio for the past 20 years. In his earlier career, he was involved with footy and basketball clubs as team Physiotherapist for West Sydney Razorbacks NBL basketball team and Parramatta Eels and Cronulla Sharks NRL clubs. More recently he has turned his focus to his personal sporting passion – golf. Matt consults to Jack Newton Junior Golf, Golf NSW and Golf Australia, working with their Development and High Performance programs. In this role, Matt is able to help young golfers become better athletes and achieve their goals, working as part of a team to get results. Throughout his career, Matt’s focus has been working with athletes of all different sports, levels and ages – from weekend warriors, to beginners, elite level juniors and professionals. The most satisfying thing for Matt comes from helping athletes not only recover from injury, but also being part of their journey to become better athletes, and achieve their goals.

JASON OEI Exercise Physiologist

Jason has been passionate about sport (all types of sport) since a very young age, so it was no surprise when he chose to study exercise physiology at UNSW. During his youth, Jason played representative level snooker, cricket and touch football, and playing tennis at State level. His current passion is golf, and he is working towards becoming a scratch player by the end of 2015. Anything Jason chooses to pursue, he will do whatever it takes to be the best at it that he can be. When it comes to his patients and athletes, it’s really important to him to see them achieve their goals.

NILS HESTERMANN Head of Strength & Conditioning

With a background in professional European football, Nils has committed his life after his playing career to a more specific application of performance. His passion for functionality and movement efficiency, coupled with an approach to improving strength and power, has become a career grounded in continually improving his athletes. Nils has worked throughout Europe, Asia and Australia, learning about different cultures, training systems and sports. He believes that combining mindset, nutrition, movement and recovery will help to improve each individual athletes overall performance, not just making them better in the sport they participate in but also developing a strong mentality to take on challenges in life. He is the co-founder of 360 Athlete and the former Head of Strength and Conditioning for the AC Milan Soccer School in Australia.

Ryan has experience in working at NSW Institute of Sport and in private practice assisting teams and athletes to perform at their peak. He works within many sports including triathlon, rugby, football, endurance and combat sports.

TYRELL NAVARRO Exercise Physiologist

Growing up Tyrell had always been the child that couldn’t stay still and liked to explore by climbing things and trying out different sports at school. However, he always had a greater interest in martial arts which led him to try Karate and later finding kickboxing and Muay Thai. This love for the sport had led Tyrell to complete a Bachelor in Health Science (Sports & Exercise) as well as a Master of Exercise Physiology at the University of Sydney. This mindset of always being a student and being open to learning new things has led Tyrell to compete in Muay Thai and to start learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Tyrell believes in order to grow and improve you must continuously face new challenges in order to become the best athlete you can be.

Reviews

“One of the most knowledgeable and helpful teams I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. After a year of work their initial diagnosis was accurate and identified a couple of weaknesses I knew and a couple I didn’t. Great technical changes which have taken some time to get used to but the team have always helped. Highly recommended for both professional and aspiring athletes.”
